Vault editing should be primarily done by the team Vault Organizer using the following link: https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AkPg5hwmtLisdEtiSmF6elRRRGVfUGZTN2ZzN0k2ZlE&hl=en&authkey=CKLv5qoE

Do not give this link to anyone outside your team!

When you edit the Vault, please post on this topic, explaining what edits you made. For example:
Quote
Round 1:
Salvage +24
Discard -18
You do not have to list specific cards. Changes might take up to 5 minutes to become visible.

hey all,
Ok, assuming I have read everything correctly we should have 500 - 61 = 439 cards for the vault.  For a staring point lets try to come up with 8 - 12 unique decks.  With 24 of each :death card and 12 each of non-:death cards there is some wiggle room to be able to field multiple duplicate decks but we need to be able to field 8 decks each round.  Losses in the early rounds will be less harmful this time around since discards will be 6-12-18-etc as the rounds progress.  After that we should look to filling the rest of the vault with key cards that are especially good verses specific elements such as purify, holy light, reflect shield etc.

for sure:
pillars/penduli
poison
bone wall
flesh spider
chrysoara

It's probably a good idea to have these cards:
sundial
phase shield
deflag/steal
adrenaline
freeze
basilisk blood
plague
discord
boneyard
fractal

to consider:
eclipse
parasite
adrenaline
otyugh
deathstalker
fog shield
wings

There's more, but I won't post them for now.

Vault will be much easier to put together now as we have experience with first war. Rule of exchange allow us to go lighter on :death pillars and take more situational cards.

I believe we'll have much harder time this war. With scorpions and dolls around, more teams will pack Purify, and guess against which element will be used. I would also consider taking it, though its hard to predict when Poison will be used against us. :water , :life and :gravity will most definitely use poison every now and then. Possibly :entropy and :light as they can stall like pros. :time shouldnt be much of a problem IMO.

IIRC, we had several decks with :air . Wings are a great addition to :air , and definitely a card we want in the Vault. Its a beautiful card against lot of rush decks, especially against :earth;D
:light and :fire are tough match ups for us. We should probably come up with couple of decks for them before we finalize the Vault.
Cards that fight fractal decks (especially frac pests) should also be considered.

Yeah :light was an utter nightmare for us last War. The water/light stall deck was extremely difficult to counter especially once our vault became limited. Lots of different cards this time round and pendelums make many decks much more viable now.

Water will definitely use mindgate decks (a nilsie favorite) and i'm sure we will see plenty of wings. Anyhow back to work but i'll keep checking back periodically.

Confirmed.  We should also have an additional (almost guaranteed) 12 cards for completing the Propaganda page.  Then possibly 12 or 6 more for coming in first or second.

Vaults have to be completed by Friday 14:00 GMT (10:00 AM US EST)

I perused the matches from last war and made a few mental notes.

Poison, Mummy, Arsenic, Bone Wall, Flesh Spider (especially Recluse), and Dimensional Shield seemed to be the most effective cards used by team Death.

Vulture, Bone Dragon, Lightning, or using more than 2 elements seemed ineffective.

The opponents using Devourers or Discords were a lot of trouble.

Light used a combo of Ice Shield, Miracle, and Purify to great effect against Death.

Lightnings and Dragons are good additions to decks. They may seemed weakish due to vault limitations or certain opponent at the time. With other stuff I agree.

I think taking some non-death creatures would be good against Light. I'm sure they will try to abuse the cheap 10 damage of Holy Light, so having stuff like frogs and other cheap non-death/darkness creatures might work.

Ok, we definitely want to have reverse time and eternity.  The death/time deck that cionich beat me with is particularly effective against any immolation deck.  Add in bone walls for defense and the fire player just can't get out enough creatures to eat through the wall and the reverse times are devastating when the only quanta is coming from an immolation.  We pretty much had three deck archetypes, immolation based deck, poison and firebolt stall type deck, and of course the master can do fractal phoenix which is quite tough.

For fractal phoenix going duo-darkness with devourers and steals may be the best.  Purify and just being faster should work against the poison-bolt deck, or going light/life for a reflective shield.

I agree with much of this. Using vultures, skull shields and aflatoxins were a waste of cards. Also i did not start off with enough bone walls. Those will definitely be maxed this time. Although lightnings weren't THAT useful they were helpful in giving earth their first loss.

I made quite a few mistakes last War but then so did many other's.

Light gave us serious problems because i was unprepared and by the time we knew what was happening our vault was limited and stopping them was extremely difficult. This time around though i think Xdude knows we will try to counter this deck and will also adjust accordingly.

Cool, Corrum just posted about rewinds and eternity's. One of the decks i used vs Coinich in the Masters trials i completely love and i think would be very effective (although unupped i'm not sure how good it is). We didn't pack eternities last time but i think it would definitely make good addition now that we have pendelums. Here's the deck i used (without the SoGs) and it works pretty well.

This should easily beat any fractal phoenix deck, works just as well unupped.
