i think the vault bulding is a very hard to do thing. Before anything is said here maybe we should see around the last wars spoiler decks for  :death

http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/board,147.0.html

My first things is in my mind is any of our enemies expected us to do something with poison. maybe we can flip around this, we can use more decks ie. rush, TU(PU) dragon OTK, deckout etc.

like this:

I don't know what strategy and such exactly exists in war, but here are three death decks that I built for Three Man PvP. We can use them or something similar maybe?

Spoiler for Hidden:

I'm sure these can be better, and the last two decks must be slightly modified to fit with the rules. Also, they have been posted on the TPVP thread, so everyone has access to them. Anyway, I'm just throwing some ideas out here :)

They are great ideas but honestly I don't think they would work well in War. We need to prepare against decks like
  • Graboidbows. Every team can make these.
  • Various stalls (with help from Stone Skin, Sanctuary and/or Miracle. Shields also)
  • Mono rushes with or without off-element cards splashed in. Examples for splashing: Earthquake, Reverse Time, Deflagration, Lightning, Momentum
  • Discord decks (either splashed into a mono or with blackhole)
  • Bonewall+CC
  • Various poison decks
  • Fractal something (examples: Giant Frog, Elite Charger, Minor phoenix)
  • Darkness duos mostly for steal - here's an article on them
  • PU-Dragon decks
  • Ghostmare

In short, most decks revolve around the most powerful cards.

Spoiler for A few examples:

I like that Time deck. I'm going to play around with it some more.

Trying this version at the moment. Quanta seems to be fine right now, I just wish my damage was faster. Upgraded poisons would really help.

PU-Dragon is a must, though I'd probably use more dim shields. You can never have enough of those. :)

As for the light stall, I'm not sure. Last war we tested the two stalls (Immortal vs Sanc-stall) a lot and we came to the conclusion that the former is better because of more control. Whichever it is, I'd like to have at least one such stall in our vault.

Edit: added timer to the first post.

Rob's ideas:

#1:
Spoiler for Fire-Death Stall + fiery:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52r 52r 52r 52r 52s 52s 52s 52s 52s 52s 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 5f7 5f7 5f7 5f8 5f8 5f8 5f8 5f8 5f8 8po

Play method being:

1) drop pendulums like hot potatoes (PO-TA-TOES... quick tribute to Annele :) )

2) Afla weakest opponent creature ASAP (DEFINITELY once you can and have a Bonewall in-hand)...

3) chill while opponent's cells multiply (yes, you're HP will be taking a bit of a beating here... patience!)

4) drop Bonewall and RoF opponents board as empty as possible - you now have a monster Bonewall counter and can begin hoarding :fire for the Fahrenheit (which you wait to play if the opp has PC)

5)  WIN.

Thoughts?  Mod's?  Like it or dislike it?  Does it meet the War deck rules??  (I did a bit of play-testing with it against AI3 in the trainer... frequently won with < 15 HP against rushier AI3 starts)

WHOA - 60 card monster deck!  First off, it appears a legal War deck to me - please verify. :)

1)  Yes - two different shields in this deck.  Sometimes you need to lay down a Skull for a bit to get rid of big HP or other annoying monsters prior to the Plague, wait, wait, BONEWALL shield.

2)  Save up the Stoneskin to boost the HP when you are almost dead or suspect the opponent is saving up for a spell or damage dump next-turn kill.

3)  EQ to slow them down even more - and you have the :earth to play them anyways.  :)

Again, tested this a few times and tweaked it a bit.  Please give feedback as you think of it - you wont' hurt my feelings.

Perhaps you are thinking - why is this noob'er posting so many :death stall decks?  Well, simple - death rush decks are not so hard to build and seems to me have mostly already been done.  Hence, opponents EXPECT a poison-mummy-dragon rush from a TEAM DEATH matchup - then we throw a stall at them wasting all that beautiful CC and/or Purify they packed as a "perfect counter".  Meh - just trying my hardest to help out the team in my first war.  :D

1)  Play Soul Catcher's and use Virus to power the first Fractal (which should be done on the Virus).

2)  Begin infecting enemy creatures to power the subsequent Fractals (which should ideally be Bone Dragon).

3)  Bonewall is empowered by Virus ability activation AND the creature that will be killed by the infection which gives good defense.

A lot less stall and good surprise.  Although, most PvP'ers will have seen this before and may recognize chapuz' deck-work...

I did a quick testing of that Black-hole discord death deck.

I tried it 5 matches each against the top three "example decks" that Shantu listed.

Discord Time rainbow
5/5 Wins

Earth grabbow
4/5 Wins

Firestall
3/5 Wins
As long as you get a discord out before their first sanctuary (preferably on your third turn) you can win.

Immortal stall
2/5 Wins

Light Grabbow
5/5 Wins

Death deck as AI and playing with the other deck: (Wins indicate our death deck's wins)

Discord Time rainbow
1/5 Wins

Earth grabbow
0/5 Wins

I realize this is not enough testing for definetive results, but it seems like a pretty strong deck to me.

EDIT: Did some more testing. Odd. I got completely opposite result when I switched decks with AI. Maybe the AI is very bad at playing the deck or maybe the deck isn't as good as I thought?

Alright guys we have only 3 days left. We desperately need to work together, to meet in chat. To test and discuss decks, to see if we can make them better.. Y'know, like a team. Because we are a team.

Also I won't be available very much in the next 3 days - sadly Mr. Real Life needs to come first. So I need you to put extra effort.
