I am not Joey nor from Canada.
I am Rob and am from Kansas currently residing in Las Vegas, NV (nope, almost NEVER do I go to the Las Vegas Strip). My college degree is in Architectural Engineering but emphasis on electrical - Professional Engineer in Electrical state of Nevada -- yay?
Basically, since graduation I have been working and advancing in the field of my college degree - so that is a good thing in life. (More importantly I enjoy it most days!)
Let's see - as a young man / kid / teen I played a tad bit of Magic (very little tad bit), Star Wars CCG, Star Trek CCG (you too dragons?!), a little bit (medium level little here) of Overpower, some Ironclad Tactics (on Steam by Zachtronics - they make GREAT games btw), getting a little into Hearthstone lately, and of course my career in EtG which is chronicled many places on this forum.
Wars - drafted for 1 card in War 6 by Shantu after some chat time with him. Shortly after that competed for and attained Master of death and General'd Death in War 7. Lost mastership to the wonderful Fippe94 and participated briefly (RL - *shakes fist) in War 8 on dd's Water Team (I still rue my lack of activity in that event...). Here I am General and Master of Death again for War 9.
The way I run teams I get placed in charge of (Death War 7, DDD Brawl ?3?, and now Death War 9) here is as a co-worker 99% of the time. I will not aim to steamroll anybody on the team. Likewise, I expect input and activity from our members to a reasonable level - we each can only do that which we can do. I enjoy competition and War is one very unique manifestation of just that.
Please note also that as a team I will do everything within my power to support our efforts. In the past this has been present in actions such as pressing WM's about a sub against my team that fielded MANY nymphs when the original player had a Nymph Count post that was recnet and showed them WAY short of having that many themselves. I will take the truth to the grave in a dispute similar to xn in War 7 against Drake with a very odd desync result that seemed improbable but was eventually credited to Death's favor. The requirement for me to take such stances is that behind these closed doors and ESPECIALLY PM's and TPad we must be blatantly honest and true to each other.
One other thing -- I want to strongly encourage and do support that AS A TEAM and ON THE WHOLE when we win credit is never claimed personally or at expense of the opponent and when we lose blame is never placed on RNG or similar reactions that discredit the opponent. EVEN WHEN THE LOSS is due to RNG we should give "gg" and credit "well played Opponent Z". EVEN WHEN THE WIN is due to hard work behind the scenes and the opponent played poorly or had no chance we should give "gg" and credit "draws in our favor" or "luck was with us" or similar statements.
THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT thing to me so please do your best to adhere. I know heat-of-the-moment happens but I like to spearhead a kind and genuine team effort.Thanks.
