Hmmm, looks like we dont have many options, basicly, its the earth duo, and the deck xn0ize used last round. Is there a good way to mix?

We could also throw in some dim shields and those 2 Fractals we got from Fire, but , wait, no salvage, right? Huh. This is going to be hard. What if they use a Pestal again?

We have 4 steals in vault as well, which Aether may not be expecting.

Also, instead of the earth stall, we could play a death rush with EQs to slow pestal.  This would require testing.

Well our earth stall beats their pestal.... It's a toss up. Either fractal or earth stall. I'm sure they are expecting either and honestly they can't really counter both so it's really a coin flip.

I think our earth stall loses if they get upgrades (vamps / eclipse / etc).  Also, they ran 3 x steal last time which could kick our ass.  It really depends on which aether player we face (let's hope for a peon).

Our fractal is dead.  Here are our remaining off-element cards:

4 x lightning
6 x dim shield

4 x steal

6 x earth pend
2 x tit
6 x EQ
6 x SS

Talked with Kev in chat and i think we should just go out with earth stall (since basically we lose this round we are dead anyways).

Well our earth stall beats their pestal....
I'm really not sure that's true.  I just tried their last round deck in trainer versus our previous earth stall (-1 plague, +1 pend out of necessity).  When I used their deck against the stupid death AI I went 5-0.  When I used our deck against the stupid aether AI I went 1-2.

So part of the problem is only one plague.  I didn't up any cards while testing but it's pretty irrelevant, and here's why:  If we up tits but not arse, they will save steals for tits and we cannot win.  If we do up arse they might steal it and fractal devs so we can't stoneskin to survive poison buildup.  I believe we're big dogs in this matchup.  blonde, I really have no idea how you beat pika in Round 8 in this matchup.

I believe Aether took devtal last round because they anticipated our Earth duo, and I believe they'll take it again.  Do we have any deck that beats devtal more consistently?  blonde, do you want to practice this matchup in pvp?  Our alt accounts have enough ups.

Well, here's a problem:  we really only have enough creatures for 1 deck.  So if we do not try a stall this round, we need to make our deck big enough to keep creatures for the next round (since a 36 card earth stall fails hard).

EQs are our big hope against pestal, so a slimmer poison, arse, EQ deck might work well.

Well here's the changes. They added another steal and we have one less plague. The one less plague hurts but the extra steal is more dangerous. The arsenics are basically just there for death card fodder and if pulled early along with a bunch of shields will force them to make decisions on what to steal. Played smart i think we have a decent chance.  I don't think we really can make anything else that can take out pestal. A smaller EQ deck might be better though.

Also if we are lucky we won't have to face higs or pika because those ups make a big difference. (Hurray lucky!)

In fact, pikachu said he was expecting to fight another deck. They were really expecting to fight the earth stall. I think they will try the Pestal again, because, in fact, could we beat it using the poison deck?

I think the crazy event card is here to help us, if we are dogs, we have more chance in a best of 1.

But I think we need a B plan. If we lose using the stall, we can discard earth cards and still play the other deck, using steals as surprise. If we lose with another deck, I suppose we wont have a legal deck to use next round.

Too bad we dont have 60 Death Pendulums in the vault. If we had, I wouldnt mind let you sub our General and use them to defeat aether hordes one by one. I suppose they even cant counter your powerful deck. :P
