Only 18 hours left.  It's crunch time.  When we get down to two decks I think Fire and especially Aether will try to predict our deck choices.  It's probably time to try on some new hats to the extent we can.

Tell me if I'm too far outside the box for blonde here:

I think the current plan is for Marv to play blonde's deck first.  If he wins someone will sub for me, if he loses I'll play it myself.  This maximizes our cards and minimizes the number of Round 11 decks we field.  Am I right?

Edit: Some discussion on the Event Card is warranted.  I think we have only two ways to use it: mono or salvage aether pillars/pends and build a duo.  But I'm not even sure we WANT to discard six less if we lose.  I think we're set up pretty well to game substitutes for the ideal outcome.  Aren't we?

Note: They also have a dimshield deck.
I don't think we'll see their bolt deck again but I could certainly be wrong.  My hunch is they might expect our Earth duo and show us novas or immos (which uses a Fire mark).  Too bad we don't have any RTs left. :( We've still never used lightning rush.

Maybe something like this?:

Well, if they are going to try that immo deck, shouldnt we have some BWs? It would also work with the lightnings. I would suggest changing 2 of them for the recluses, maybe. Would give me another option to Fractal.

The Fractal deck looks good, but I have no time to test it now and see if the quanta is balanced. Can someone do it?

I don't think I can spare the recluses because I'm so low on damage and they're nice upped.  I don't think you need them with the deck as is.  You're 100% right that BW would be hugely additive to winrate against immophoenix, but I thought we needed the BWs in the fractal deck.  Actually now that I look at it we only have two if we salvage aether pillars from a loss last round rather than BW, so we'll have to take a close look at what's available.  I thought it'd be wise to get opinions on the rough decks first.  Maybe not.

I tested it a bit but I'd love another pair of eyes on it.

Sorry guys about not being available.  I made the mistake of PMing Pikachu saying i was available to play before i read this thread. So if someone could get ahold of Pika and get this situated that would be awesome. Thanks for everything guys! Gotta run again but thought i'd get a couple messages in real quick.

Event card:

If we can use the event card, we should do so.  Losing 30 cards or gaining 6 cards puts on multiples of 36, but losing 24 cards actually helps us (unless we sub the other match and win).

Decks:
1.  Earth duo
This may be the last round we can effectively use the earth stall.  If we lose both matches and do not use the event card we will be down to 36 cards, which makes the earth stall ineffective.  At that point we would be reduced to a death rush + EQs.

2.  Fractal recluse
I don't like this anywhere: RoF kills recluses, while dim shields stop it cold

3.  Other duos
We could use mono death + steals, mono death + phoenix / deflag, and mono death + lightnings.  I don't particularly like any of these duos because they lack either PC or CC.

4.  Alternatives
Now that we have lost the rage potions from our vault, we can no longer field duos with both adequate PC and CC.  However, here we do have a couple alternatives for this round:

Creature rush w/ PC and CC

We also have the fractix kev posted, but that lacks in CC.  The bone walls help there somewhat, but every bone wall beyond 2 causes us to kill a flesh recluse from the vault.  Also, I hate fractix.

Match-ups:
:aether Aether
CC won't help much against most likely aether decks this round.  I actually fear aether will bring its war-legal grabow against us this round.  That deck is evil: the silences let graboids evolve without fear of CC, and it has loads of lightnings for CC or burst damage.  The silences might cause us to use stone skins a bit early with our earth stall, but we might be able to beat it (needs testing).

Possibilities here are:
earth stalldeath + stealsfire duo with deflags and phoenixes - fractix could possibly work here, but it gets destroyed by the aether grabow
:fire Fire
I like one of the alternative rush decks here in the spoiler above, maybe the creature rush with lightnings and steals.

I have tested Fractix for a bit. Fractal seems a bit difficult and very vulnerable to PC.

Aether pillars in starting hand:
0 - 1x
1 - like 6x (common situation, and a deflag could delay me a lot)
2 - 2-3x
3 - 1x

Im 8-2 vs AI3. Lost 1x to neurotoxin, and 1x to death / cat elder, because my 3 Fractals were at last 10 cards.
It looks really difficult, we need to manage 3 quanta, one of them being the almost useless Death quanta. Also, I really do need an unupped arsenic?

Anyway, it is playable, just not that reliable. Anyway, I feel that aether and fire will get their strongest decks vs each other and we ay get some benefit of this :)

One advantage of fractix is that the opponent will probably be completely shocked by it
