Js if I had brought the Death/Life deck I wanted to from our other R1 discussions thread it would've been a hard counter. xD. Oh well, thats just how the die rolls. Summery: Dims screwed me over.
A world war? Am I invited?
Thanks to skotadi for saying this in chat. Made me laugh pretty hard, and fits with me not getting drafted. :silly:

Do please note that this Life-duo you have mentioned a couple times related to R1 is not possible from our War Vault.  And without nit-picking, I'll add that I'm not sure a stall is a good opposition to Fractal-Guard/Charger...

Oh, dang, thought it was in our vault, my bad. As for the match up, it would've been able to stall out long enough and probably would've been a close 2-3 lost or 3-2 win, as it relied more on poison damage than physical damage and they constantly always had a low amount of damage, never getting out more then 4 creatures in any of our games and me bringing Nae to 30-50 HP each time.

Regarding the statement in yellow...
I would offer this:
  • Nae knew or strongly suspected, once the match started and after a few turns, that Dims could block most of your our damage
  • Therefore Dims were priority #1 to get upper hand in damage race
  • Gravity's deck was built for quanta to power Dims and late-game Fractal or abandon Dims and mid-game Fractal
  • Had we fielded a stall Nae would have never played Dims and instead used Fractal to pump the damage
In summary, I think I hear what you're saying here CR but disagree that such a stall would have performed any better against the same Gravity deck.

True, but if you look at the deck she only had 3 fractals compared to 6 dims, and with it having the better alternative damage source it would've been again a close match up. I had taken all that into consideration before my post :P She also didnt have a lot of gravity quanta in our games either.

Hmmm, OK, well just for a quick investigation I ran a 3-game set vs AI3 with the Gravity deck and these are the results:
Spoiler for first:

Spoiler for second:

Spoiler for third:

The slowest here is against a multi-Stoneskin effort from the earth/gravity Elder in game 3... at 12 turns and just 1 HP away from 11 turn win. :) Fractal is pure stall-break when used on attacking creatures.

P.S. - are you feeling like putting a good whooping on :time RR :time this round? :D

While I find that testing rather faulty because you're opponents dont have the turn by turn healing SoG provides, and ai3 doesn't put up much resistance for defense standards imho, I wouldn't mind vsing you while you use gravities deck and me use the life deck, however we can't even field that as its not in our vault. So since we can't move on in a practical manner, lets just drop the arguement. I didn't want it to become what it did anyway.

PS Hell yes I am! :) Id love to personally beat time because of the general in command who didn't want me last war when I feel I was exactly the type of people he was picking.
