Hey, since I'm facing time it isn't all that important for me to have a main deck. I probably won't be able to be on though until the decks are due, so depending on what other decks are made can somebody please make an executive decision on my deck. I trust ya guys as you've all done so great so far. Sorry for having to make a brief disappearance!

Thats why its absolutely essential to Aflatoxin immediately and liberally.  It speeds things up dramatically if I can get two "doses" going at once.  If it means anything at all, I'm able to beat the AI3 Shrieker rush whenever I play them, which so far is once...

This is surprisingly fast however:

Code: [Select]
52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52h 52h 52h 52h 52h 52h 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52r 52r 52r 52r
Piece of info to consider - earth has prepared deck for fight against death for a while. I'm thinking they are not going to overthink this and go for counter for a counter for a counter of a deck, but rather directly counter best stuff from our element. In other words, I think they packed Purify and Titanium shield. Of course, thats just a guess.

Okay, you sold me on the speed poison deck.  I have been playing this for 2 hours and I feel comfortable with it.  What I am going to do now is play PVP1 with the same deck I used in round 1 and hopefully some retard will report it to team aether so they think I am playing that again.

Code: [Select]
52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52p 52p 52q 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i7 5i7 5i7 5i7 5i7 5i7

*sigh* i feel like i've gone over these decks a million times. Trying to figure out how to best use our cards was slightly overwhelming. This round was much harder to get our decks ready. Honestly i hope i haven't screwed this up. I have found that when i created the vault i made some errors that may become critical.

-not enough bone pillars (this will be the killer)
-too many fractals, the fractal deck does not work very good without upped recluses and upped cards
-not enough bonewalls (i seriously underestimated how many we would need)
-i probably should not have put in cards for a full afla deck.

Anyway here is how our decks are setup and my reasoning why.

MrBlonde - knowing Jmizzle i think he's going to seriously look at our last matchup and create a counter for it. The discord deck seems the best way to go in this matchup and i may regret second guessing my decision here. I went back and forth so many times but i decided to go with Theo's life deck with some modifications. I added a couple animate weapons and another druid staff. So as long as he is not packing a ton of chaos seeds i feel somewhat okay here.

Coinich - your afla deck looks as good as any. If they indeed do go shrieker rush we may be okay. If we lose it's good news, bad news. Good news, 10 of the cards (afla, skull shields) are expendable and the 6 dragons we will miss but we have plenty of other options (although i grabbed 2 liquid shadows specifically for those dragons). Bad news, if we lose here 16 pillars are gone and that will hurt alot.

Malduk - well... good luck. you made this one easy for me. I did take out 1 aether pillar though in case of a loss. That way the Fractal deck is intact with 5 pillars.

Mastermind - I know you wanted to go with time but i think this deck will work better. It is paired down a little bit because just like with Malduk's deck it leaves the other Discord deck intact. What will hurt in this matchup is if they pack a bunch of rewinds and eternities. Your mummies can be rewinded once but if they get rewinded again they ain't never coming back.

Theo - I gave you a speed poison. I figure this should work fine not much to say about this one.

UFCfan - I changed your deck slightly taking out a plague and added an arsenic. The only worries i have here is if they manage an early Lobo.

ETA - so tired right now (3:45am) but so lucky as well. ScaredGirl just posted the new link to post our Vault so i had to input the numbers. I thought we had 2 druid staffs so i had added it to my deck. I almost posted an illegal deck and am not sure i would have caught that. Ugh.

ETA2 - Lol and we have another day to finalize decks... figures. BUT on the bright side you all can go over the decks. Hurray!

Actually, after further thought, the  discord deck would work, because if they stall poison takes them down. Discord's scramble slows down the rewind until they have a lot of pillars, which (hopefully)  wont happen very quickly.

Unless someone has a better idea, and I couldn't quite get the Adrenaline/Afla deck balanced, I'm going to go with my Dragon/Afla deck and hope for the best.  That also frees up Poisons for the rest of you to fight over.

Here's the right code:

I wasnt sure if MrBlonde will get online in time and see this to fix the deck, so I asked SG on chat to update the deck on first page, and its done now.

Good luck to all of us. I have a weird feeling about this round ( :light is being too cocky ), but if we predicted things right, we can repeat our score from the round 1. ;)

'twas a Shrieker rush, as I expected.  I even had a fair shot both matches, but its nearly impossible to compensate for a fresh 6 Shriekers in one turn.  Sorry guys, I couldn't stop the :earth juggernaut. :(  And Glitch pointed out the obvious; a Fire Shield or Thorn Carapace could've made the games much different.

Trust me i contemplated Fire shield. Especially for earth. BUT the problem with that was we would have needed to take fire pillars or immolates (which i probably should have) to get it out in time to actually stop all the dmg. Fire shield takes 4 turns to kill the shrieker and without fire pillars takes (crap can't remember off the top of my head if it costs 4 or 6 quanta) til round 5 minimum to get it out with a splash. I just didn't think it was worth it unless we were going to add deflags and pillars which i decided against (and in retrospect wish i did).

Sorry Coinich you did your best. No shame in this loss.

Well, I play Corrum again.  The question is, will he go pillarless like he has for his first two matches?  If he does, I figured a counter; Reverse Time.  We have 5, and if I use all 5 on his Phoenixes, I can remove them for a long time until his mark can restock enough :fire to replay them.  The rest of the deck is built to stall; Sundials and Bone Walls will hold off the worst of it, and with hopefully his limited number of creatures, I can stave off defeat long enough to have my Mummies and Poisons kill him good.
