They both create upped skeletons if the attacking creature is upped.
Uhh...? Interesting... In some way it sucks, but in some way... I like it

I have played with it quite a bit, and I feel that 3/2 cost might be too cheap for the effect it produces. Sure, it can be countered in a number of ways, but still I get the feeling that a +1 in cost would make it more balanced, specially in an unupped environment (because a second turn buckler can decide the game pretty often).

Yes, that might be needed. But then again, it might be perhaps because people like to use rushes. I can definitely see how this would be good against, say, Lava Golem Rushes, Shrieker rushes and Adrenafrogs (unupped, especially)... and this is IMO a good thing.

That's a pretty hasty generalization to make.  It's also not at all true; several people have found significantly greater use from this shield now than before.

I haven't had the time to try this much yet, but if the cost isn't going to be raised too high, I'm seriously thinking whether to change Permafrost Shield from my anti-FG deck for this. With that 3|2 cost, this is probably even more imbalanced than Solar Shield, i.e. this may be the best shield by counting {effect}/{cost}.

all I know is that this shield completely wreaks fire (as long as fire doesn't explode it...)

Yes, it would be more accurate to say that this shield completely wrecks Air, which has much of the same vulnerability of Fire (short of FFQ), only without the permanent control to go with it. :)

I find the closest comparason to this shield to be Permafrost, Fire Buckler & Thorn Carapace, each of which are signifigantly more expensive.  Any shield that can potentially shut down an entire offense should carry a hefty quanta investment.

if fire doesn't/can't explode the shield, and is not a fire stall
fire would be worse off than air
most air have 2 life, most fire have 1 (lava golem can grow larger, but it starts with 1... which is very vulnerable...)
(unupped stats)

I suggest 4/3 quanta cost
compared to other similar shields, it's still cheaper
