This is a nice card, given Malignant Cell is better and is a wonderful result from this card. Block the opponent's field, mass creature spam for either side, great mutation candidates.

the ash thing is intended, like if you mutate a cell it will be the creature but it will have a 0 aflatxion counter on it so if it dies it becomes a cell again.

No. Same with antimatter and, I believe, all other buff and debuffs.
