Round 5 - Strategy

I was personally hoping Nova would mitigate Devourers, and allow for an early EQ. Their best bet is to take Aether Pendulums + Darkness mark, in which case no pendulums/pillars => no Fractal. Throw in some Devourers of your own (if possible) and they'll never get enough Aether to Fractal even once.

Ok, I have decided we will give the sacrifice to Napalm.

Gravity with 160 cards must fill 5 decks this phase. If we give them a win and 6 cards then they will hang around another turn, but will actually be worse off if they win 2 other games because it will force them to make a sacrifice deck in the next round.

Gravity is also the element we have the least to salvage from, (unless they reuse 3D's components but unlikey because GG has the full Holy set still) where the other elements will give us components to refine decks particularly Air could give us 12 air cards to trim out wing shock.

GG and Napalm have made gesture that they have our number. Wether this is distraction or not is yet to be determined, but really I just don't want to even worry about the matchup. Everyone should respond to any action by Gravity with "We've got the perfect solution to go against you this round, we're not worried"

I understand GuyF's situation but what of the rest of the masterlist can you use better?



Those with decks flesh out the Darkness components. (choose anything you want, I'll try and make it work from the salvage but we must use up most of the current vault stock)

Nova decks can swap the extra portions with anything thats free. (not from salvage tho)

Plastiqe can move around any entropy components that are left his deck is the only one with spare in element stock tho its mostly more antimatter and discord.

this will sound random but now with the round extention i *could have* played. but they extended it after we changed the matchups, so there is nothing we can do now.

The upped pendulums are to (hopefully) avoid situations where they might spam EQ against me (Light-earth duo stall), while also acting as a way to get Devourers out faster in case I only draw on pendulum (ugh). I've tried to use as many Aether cards as I can to help balance the Darkness-aether count, since I know most decks have to use only 15 Darkness cards...

Anything I should add against salamence?

from the master decks post:

We have 110 darkness cards, and 105 used @ 15 per deck x 7. Which is 5 left over. As it is now, Kuro has 19 and Plastiqe has 16, and I have 20! I know I'm currently the low man on the totem pole, so unless we want to throw a bunch of junk into our two novabow's in order to give me a better chance against the underworld master... I'll take the hit.

I was actually thinking about trading the dragons out for drainlife anyway, and going for a deckout strategy, since knowing that underworld will have 30 card decks is our greatest advantage in this round. I wish I had my deck from last round for this! Perhaps with a bit (a lot) of luck I could still help the team and win.

And since I'm being objective in this... although it will probably kill my chances altogether: shouldn't the novabows have some pendulums in it? because as it stands now, I don't believe they will. At least with my giving up the dragons, the EQ one could use them with darkness pillars... actally, maybe I don't have to give up my pendulums after all?

Actually..... Plastiqe, would you be willing to trade one of your amethyst pillars out for something? I think it would vastly improve my chances if I had two!

Anyway, I wanted to say Light will likely not bring Rains of Fire. Their Suicide deck included 4 of them, so Kuro should (probably?) feel save to smite all creatures out on the field
