We did great last round, a lot of useful cards like nymphs, nightmare and earthquakes have not been revealed to our opponents, and with such a small vault they won't expect it either.

This round we have the following duels:

:light Wizardcat (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,13056.0.html)
:darkness Theonlyrealbeef

:fire kevkev60614
:darkness kobisjeruk

:air Istari.

:darkness 9270984
:life Wizelsnarf

:darkness 3D House of Beef
:air Klaymore

concerning  :darkness vs  :fire
i doubt they will be using fire stall against us
i bet we will be the first to face m.phoenix+fractal, the deadliest combo Gen. fire has in his disposal
though i might be wrong...

quanta denial is my first choice
it deals with their previous deck AND both fire stall or m.phoenix+fractal
do note kevkev has 2 mark of fire in his deck (fractal needs mark of aether to work best, they could switch to aether pendulum and retain mark of fire but i doubt it will be better)

plastiqe, i'll be needing your help to test my deck against kevkevs since you're the only one i knew who has 2+ mark of fire

i'm not even gonna talk about the event card
my personal opinion is that it is the stupidest idea ever conceived and should never gone past the 'idea' stage

we probably will get killed this round by holy FLASHES because of the event card. this round will suck.
i want to run this deck
Code: [Select]
5ul 5ul 5ul 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5up 5up 5ur 5us 5us 5us 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 622 622 622 622 622

 :darkness vs :water
their best bet would be poison rush because honestly i cant see them trying to :-
a) stall+bolt...with fear of facing fractal+devourer
b) control...when we already showed them 4 decks with protected creatures (both dragons and rainbow grabs)

they might go  :water/ :fire with phoenix (GRR!) and steam engine

one thing i am quite certain, they wont be going rainbow so  :darkness/ :entropy OR  :darkness/ :earth should do the trick or just have Kael use the same deck as before

Interesting that Fire didn't use a single Lava Golem in R1 and only had one deck with Immolations.. but they did use maximum Fire Bolts.  If we were to fight the same deck they used against us in R1 our best counter would be Entropy/Darkness.. so if I was Fire I think they'd be prepared to deal with Antimatters this time.  kevkev is for sure one of the toughest masters to face so we'll have our work cut out for us.  Along with the vaults I think it's helpful if we keep track of all the decks that have been used by each element.  I'll get started on that...... tomorrow.  I've got an early floor hockey game but after 2:30ish I'll be around the rest of the afternoon for testing if anyone is up for it.

Allright, I'm testing some decks to use against light, so far this deck:
Code: [Select]
5ul 5ul 5ul 5up 5up 5up 5up 5ur 5ur 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 621 621 621 looks good, but since their last deck packed deflags we might be in serious trouble if they were to use something similar against me.

Another option would be to use a Graboid Rainbow like this one:
Code: [Select]
4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 590 590 590 590 590 590 5i7 5on 5uo 5up 5up 5ur 5ur 5us 5uv 5uv 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 61q that I've tested. Don't know if it's fast enough, but outrushing might be one of our few options.

9# and i tested some deck vs :light / :fire (the one :light used last round)
rainbow grabs got the best chance (because it is useful no matter what deck they're packing) but :entropy / :darkness with lycans, AM and LS might work too
LS is the best answer to phoenix we've got...thats all

I think we'd better save specific Phoenix counters for :fire, too risky to build a counter just for that specific deck. Since they already used it last time it's unlikely (though certainly not impossible) they'd use it again.

So I'm doing gravity. Pretty much I'm expecting discord/hole but there's a chance of oty blitz (with holy light) or even GG's poison armagio deck which looks pretty wicked. I'll bet on the first, and while I was considering the earthquake devourer deck, I think it would be generally too slow against discord/blackhole and damage reliant on easily HL zapped dark creatures. Entropy is an option, but what I would feel best about is a modified version of the graboid rainbow Kobi used in round 1, with extra cc subbed in for the shields. If there are more important decks that we would like salvage than gravity, and we cannot afford the resources for me to use this deck, I am open to that logic. If anyone has time to do some testing I'd like to actually try a couple options.

Code: [Select]
4vh 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 590 590 590 590 590 590 5on 5uk 5uk 5up 5up 5up 5ur 5us 5us 5uv 5uv 5uv 606 606 606 606 61q

i think we should save the rainbow grabs for some harder fights ( :darkness vs  :light:darkness vs  :air:darkness vs  :fire)
like i said in the other thread, they already know we have 2 rainbow grabs so they know bh+discord wont be as effective against us (plus steal is a much more crippling counter to discord than any other PCs, backfire will be destructive to their own deck)
i think you should go with quanta denial, particularly  :darkness:earth

but if you do go with rainbow grabs, replace 1 pendulum for 1 pillar, drain life needs tons of darkness and you need to generate a lot, pendulum will slow it down considerably
and replace shockwave with another lightning (elite oty magnet) or reverse time (salvaged!) to negate any gravity pull action (armagio or on your own critters)
