Please post your ideas for combating the Underworld in this thread.

Decks that you think would be effective specifically, but feel free to discuss concerns, perceived weaknesses and strengths against their element, cards you think would be effective, and assumptions about how they would choose to face Darkness decks if you were building Underworld decks against us.

The underworld will probably be the big question mark, they could use anything, but since they are likely to use many elements Devourers/Discord are quite useless, Black Holes on the on the other hand might be quite useful, although one would expect them to expect those.

Modified deckbuilding rules for Team Underworld:
- any mark
- maximum of 3 copies of a single card. This restriction does not apply to Pillars or Pendulums.
- non-upgraded cards only. Upgraded cards are not allowed.
- General may use up to 6 upgraded cards (unupgraded cards taken from the Vault are transformed into upgraded ones)
- Lieutenants can use up to 3 upgraded cards (unupgraded cards taken from the Vault are transformed into upgraded ones)
- no Shards
- players are not allowed to change their decks during a round.
I don't think the Underworld rules lend themselves to rainbow deck construction.  I think we'll still see duo's here, just crappy versions with max 3 of any one card.  Plus whoever ends up on this team is not going to be the cream of the crop, they're vault choices, generals selection of upgraded cards and player skill are all suspect.  Until we've seen a round or two of their decks we should just field whichever solid deck isn't being used anywhere else.  Mono Darkness is a great all arounder if we've got no clue what they'll be playing.
