Wouldn't mind some Steals in my deck. They add another layer of denial and EEs are potentially problematic. Also, the single Drain Life in my deck doesn't seem like it will be very useful. I think I'd rather take another Eclipse than it. Eclipse gives Gargoyles enough just enough HP to survive a snipe so they can stone form and burrowed Devourers appreciate the attack power if they use Bone Walls like in that one deck last war.
The dogs of war are nothing compared to the cats.

Any team always expects Steals from us, so I think I'll have to stay by the fact Titanium either won't come, or it will come protected, in which case it's useless. Wouldn't mind Steals in the :air matchup, or replacing Drain Life and adding another Eclipse, but deck space is limited. I wouldn't want to see more than 32 cards in that deck or you'll slowly start ruining your chances of an early EQ. 6 Dim Shields makes sure you can keep up your defense at all times, at least it won't be too little :p Black Nymph makes a good point, since it's excellent CC when combined with Phase Shields, but isn't much use if Oni doesn't have any :(

I don't think I catch the Drain Life part, mind elaborating? Liquid Shadow is equally good in case of Chrysaoras, better on Puffers, and LS on Dolls with high attack provide more healing.

Liquid shadow would also work... but drain life is less quanta to play and even at 2 damage, it's enough to kill the chyrsaoras if they went poison.

As for my deck hmm I just don't feel it right tit or worse if they upgrade  is too much of an issue... I think I'd need a whole new deck, don't have time to make 1.. but a dev based deck or grabbow would assure taking care of EQ.

And for the phase shields, Ive played in aether last war and i've played with a mono deck soooo many times, believe me having 6 phase shields usually means u get stuck with 2-3 shields in hand .. when having extra damage done would just kill the opponent faster.. and wE're not even playing a deck that slow.... they will be toast long before we run out of shields.   The trick is just to be patient to play the shield until you're about down to 50 life (depending on the deck u face).

Discord/BH deck pretty much destroys GoTP. Only chance it has to win is if Gravity doesn't draw a discord early.

Also is destroyed by quinted chargers/dimension shield deck

But beats out Dune scorps, both blessed and momentumed.

Problems with Quintagon:

Loses via deckout to their quintagon, and FQ. Solution: Adding more cards (LS if possible)

Played Eagles against FQ and Quintagon, won against FQ and lost against Quintagon (Couldn't keep the damage off me).

I've updated the table in my earlier post here (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,23480.msg328104#msg328104). So far, we have discard 4 pends for 12 upgraded cards. You can also update the spreadsheet and look at the "summary" tab if there's any changes.

About the upgraded cards, here are my suggestions:

 :death: 3 Wings
 :air: 3 Pest
 :water: 3 Overdrive

Also, about the life counter I think we should add 3 upgraded LS.
I'll be in chat about 2 hours from now.

First of all, congrats to everyone for making 5-3 in R1! :D
Since our matches for R1 have been completed, let's start with discussing the salv/discard/conv stuff.

BBcodes table is not really my expertise, so I post a pic instead. :P On the other hand, if you prefer a table layout, let me know.
Also to note that this can also be accessed from the War #3 tools (https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0ApI-50p2LmlcdGxDYVVSb09sQW53S0EwcGY5cl9Ubmc&hl=en&authkey=CP6rrZ8F) (in the DS Overview tab).

Nice table, my suggested salvage/discard/conversion (can be changed depending on decks we intend to build, but discard is low enough to not really be bothered by it):

Theonlyrealbeef: +6 Poison
Wizardcat: -6 Dark Pendulum
Mithcairion: -6 Dark Pendulum
Onizuka: +6 Horned Frog
suxerz: +5 Nova +1 Lightning
Jaymanfu: +3 Arsenic +3 Poison
Malignant: +6 Sanctuary
mrpaper: -5 Nova -1 Lightning

Conversion: -6 Horned Frog, -6 Sanctuary, -9 Poison, + 21 Dark Pendulum

Netto: +9 Darkness Pendulum (of which all 9 have already been sacrificed for upgrades), +3 Arsenic (2 Arsenics per Lockbow allow for more consistent damage, and we could potentially build two lockbows).

I might be dissappointed by the outcome, but I'm certainly not dissappointed in any of you. Great work so far, I hope the new information on opponents' vaults can bring more victory in future rounds. War is really starting now, and losses will be serious.

Be sure to tell me if you'd like to see certain details change.

looks pretty decent, like that we are picking up some poison / arsenics... seems like it will be a good idea since earth is almost all stall decks

I like Torb's salvage idea.

Clear cut, and nets us a plus. Not much we could salvage from some decks, so what we have can do.

Mith posted something about just going with one quanta source, so that could take up 5/6 of the discards for his deck.

Discarding Light Pillars and Pends while converting Solar Shields? Would net us more Dark pends, but wouldn't want to recklessly destroy the deck.
