Well then there's two targets to damage opponent with obviously, I think you're getting to focused on assassims idea rather than this.

I can think of a really nasty deck. Use devourers to get lots of , play this, fractal it, play a bunch of these, have Thunderstorms, UGs and Shockwaves, have mark of to set off gases, BOOM! Boatload of damage, but a trio deck, so kind of hard to set up.

Or even better, make a rainbow deck with this, a bunch of damaging cards, and a bunch of healing cards. Probably easier to do in a rainbow.

I'm getting ahead of myself here All in all, this card fits darkness really well, and I would love to see it in the game.

If cremationing this does deal damage I'll be really annoyed. The creature is never dealt damage by cremation, it is just instantly killed.

I agree with Kael Hate. Apart from the name, this card has nothing to do with the card idea by Assassim. I think someone suggested something similar with Gargoyle. Name was same but the card was totally different.

Here's the rule:
New card that has the same name as your card idea does not mean a ticket to Reliquary.

In fact, the name is 100% irrelevant. It's game mechanics that we look at, and game mechanics are totally different. Whether or not Zanz used Assasim's idea as a source of inspiration, we don't know. But even if he did, it's irrelevant because the cards are so different.

I have to revise my earlier comment.

I just went to Voodoo Doll topic to talk about maybe giving the card idea a honorary mentioning or something, when I saw Zanz commenting on the card in that same topic. Clearly Voodoo Doll by Assassim was an inspiration and the reason why we will soon have a card called "Voodoo Doll". Giving inspiration is exactly what the "Card Ideas" section is all about, not producing finished cards.

So yes, "Voodoo Doll" by Assasim will definitely go to Reliquary.


P.s. the bit about name itself being a ticket to Reliquary still stands.
