I tested using 6xShard of Void in an darkness mark arena deck over the night. If failed miserably. The thing is, combining this with creatues and it does no dmg and cards not doing dmg are basically worthless if they are not prolonging your own by controlling or healing.

If you have no creatures in play: Enemy is at 70/70 hp it does 2(3) dmg but if the eney is at 70/100 it does nothing except 70/98(97)

As I see it, Void is only for bolt decks or stalls as then it actually deals a kind of dmg. A very specialised card.

Should my Voidwalker | Voidstalker (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,21456.0.html) be put into the Reliquary now? It should be pretty obvious that Zanz based this Shard on my Void ideas. He even made this the opposite of the Shard of Divinity (I said before that the opposite of Void is Divine).

We'll have to ask him whether it was based on your Void series. It may have just been a huge coincidence.

Yeah, and Loan Shark (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,17795.0.html) should obviously be put in the Reliquary because it inspired Ghost of the Past. Both of them have 7|4 stats and short arms, even though they are in completely different Elements and zanz doesn't spend his time reading every single card ever posted.

Seriously, it's not like you're the first person to ever use the world "Void". It's one of the few good phrases for a Darkness shard. Lowering Max HP fits with the name, matches Darkness thematically, and plays an important role in the metagame as one of the uncommon anti-CC cards that is still good against other decks.

Almost every idea has already been done a couple times. If zanz never says he was inspired by your card, then he thought of that idea on his own.

If you could be bothered to actually stick your nose back into the CIA section, you would know that Voidwalker and Shard of Void have similar mechanics, in addition to the namings.

I've already explained why it's likely that zanz gave Shard of Void similar mechanics to Voidwalker without ever seeing Voidwalker.

The reduction of max hp was in hindsight obvious but long overlooked. BS was the first I remember to suggest it in the CIA.
The Void (absence/nothing) as the opposite of Divine was a theme BS presented long before the Void Series was created.

In short it is likely that Zanz was inspired by the Void Series but there is sufficient chance of independent discovery that we should get confirmation.

Waiting for confirmation sets a good precedent anyways.

Waiting for confirmation? Zanz is never going to look at this thread. I have no ways of contacting him. And no one will remember to ask Zanz about where he got the idea from the next time he appears in chat. Honestly, doing this is not worth his time or your time. He has better things to do, and so do you.

I seem to vaguely remember someone mentioning that Zanz read my Void series. If I'm not just delusional, and you actually manage to find that post, will that be sufficient proof?

No that would not be sufficient.

Ways to contact Zanz:
1) Post in the 1.29 thread
2) Have a network of people that frequent chat that will ask the question for you

I honestly thought that for every card in Reliquary, Zanz stated his source of inspiration before anyone asked. Or that the similarity is so obvious that no one needed to ask.

Oh well. I asked the question in the 1.29 thread. If Zanz doesn't see it... whatever. It's not worth wasting my time and his time to do anything further.
