It seems that a lot of new direct damage abilities/spells ignore reflective shield . . .

i do think the drain life of it should not be ignored by reflective shield but i do think ghost of the pasts ability should get past reflective shield. ive recently started replaying ghost of the past nightmare decks and im rather pleased with the knew results its a much needed and great card for darkness that shall surely turn the tides of the WOAR!!!!

Yes, basically Drain Life, except damage is based on cards added rather than your :darkness quanta.

Got buffed to now drain 2 HP from your opponent per card added.
Ignores reflective shields at the moment (!).
^This makes Nightmare a reasonable spell to use as well as giving it it's much needed buff.  Ignoring reflective shields is plain awesome.

Sounds kind of strong in my opinion. I might go for a 1HP drain for each card.

EDIT: But I have not tested it yet, just giving my initial insight.

EDIT2: Considering that after using the initial Nightmare the amount of cards subsequent Nightmares will add is greatly reduced I think 2HP per card should be fine.

Wow, I couldn't have imagined this way of buffing Nightmare... I like it. Simple, useful, not OP (I guess). The only thing I see is that it isn't countered by Reflective Shield. IMO it should be reflected.

a 16 damage drain would be awesome. I'm really glad to see Zanz follows the community and listens this well. Awesome job, well done! I can't wait to see this card turning up in viable decks.

Normally I'd say, since it's a spell it should get affected by reflect shields. In Nightmare's case, I don't really see any harm in keeping it as it is though...
