I think the Reflective Shield should not affect this, just as it is now.

Meh.  Duplicating an existing mechanic in a new form may make the Nightmare better balanced, but it's also kinda...boring.

what about the mindgate/nightmare lock?  to find that the opponent is using nightmare while you are using mindgate i know is rare, but when it happens. ???

I would have liked the Cantrip to make Nightmare actually work, but will have to see how this goes.

wait is it drain as in takes health, gives it to the person who played nightmare, or drain health as in does damage?

It is pretty well designed. Prevents abuse of the life drain since it's only good for the first use (After that the hand is filled so you can't cast nightmare again to get the imba damage and heal).

Heals the player as well.

Sounds kind of strong in my opinion. I might go for a 1HP drain for each card.

If the opponent has a full hand, and good luck spamming 6 of these for 16 dmg each in a game. The avg player, when used in pvp, will only use it on cards the opponent cant use. So for the rest of the game, the opponents hand will be clogged up unless they manage to use the cards you played, or discarded for 6 straight turns.

Doesn't seem right for this to avoid Reflective Shields, though it does make sense seeing as how it targets a creature of yours rather than specifically targeting the player.  Either way, awesome buff.

If the effect is the regular Drain Life, it should reflect from shields,  for continuity. Explain the difference of the Drain Life from the spell card and this one to players.

You can´t damage yourself this way.
