While in any CCG there is some amount of luck with regard to draws, I do not believe that cards like this should be in the game, where it's entirely based on RNG percentages. I do believe that it actually does block 50% of the time (I'll go do a study on this later), but this is on average. This means that, by the definition of average, there will be games where it blocks less than 50% and there will be games where it blocks more.

I suggest that this shield blocks 50% of every attack, period, instead of having a 50-50 chance at blocking it all. In this way, the expected value does not change, but the damage can at least be predicted.

it has saved me against so many fast decks I almost added two to my deck. I even beat da fastest speed bow eva because of it

Hax shield! Blocks 20% of the time when you use it, and blocks 75% of the time when your opponent uses it!

It looks like this has been talked about before but never fixed. The card says "the attacking creatures" but it also effects weapons. To avoid confusion the text should be fixed, or the card should be changed to only block attacking creatures.

This is the reason why dusk mantle is better than Procrastination. I agree with to fix the text.

Sooo many people I'd like to quote, I'll just try to be succinct.

- Many people believe it is more than 50%. I'd love to see a study of this.
- The wording definitely needs a tweak.

Regarding a comment about removing the RNG element of it - I feel that would be weird, difficult to program, but a whole lot less frustrating than the RNG version.

The disadvantage of Dusk against Procrastination - Procrastination also delays creature's abilities.

Personally, I hate this card with a passion. But I'm fair and loving. And I think it is well balanced.

I think an upped version that blocked 75% of attacks is an absurd notion. If my boss would give me just a wee 25% raise, I'd be a very happy bunny.
