Really important in any quanta denial strategy, the burrow effect which costs earth quantum makes it just perfect for a denial dark/earth deck.

I think it's bad design how this card has an equal chance to take from all quantum types.  I mean, if you have 50 earth quantum and 1 death quantum, a devourer has a 50% chance to target the death quantum.  With 2-4 devourers out the chances to knock out a minor quantum source nears 100%.

This hampers duo and trio decks even more, and it really doesn't make sense either...

Useful card in denial decks. It's even more useful when you burrow it.
6 of these in the deck and you can easily deny the opponent's splashed cards.
I'd even make a Devourer TU super denial for even more quanta pwn.

using fractal on these things is hilarious.
i tested out a devourer, fractal and emapthic bond (just got a  mark) deck and i got this hilarious result  (http://www.screenshotdumpster.com/view/m7Gbd57018/funny_devourer)
i did 88 damage with one drain life

Yeah, it's fun to pwn AI3 with a field of Devourers. Yesterday I had an entire field of Devourers (23), and my opponent couldn't play anything at all. But in my variation of the deck, I had a Nightfall, so that my Devourers do some damage.

There are ways to counter Fractal-Devourer decks, though. Flooding or Fire Shield = kill.

Everything that uses Fractal dies to a Fire Shield or a pesky Thorn Carapace...

I had 23 devourers out, but that damn thunderstorm hit them twice and all of them just dissappeared (This was in PVP). The guy on the other side said to me:

Today I noticed when I played liquid shadow on an opponents devourer/pest, it still kept chomping away on my quanta.

With the new tool tip things on our creatures it listed the devouring ability as a passive skill even though the card officially had become a vampire....

I learned something new!

Its a good card,same  cost and 2 more HP.It really helps you when your going agaisnt a monodeck.
