My Unupgraded AI3 Farmer https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=20542.msg260855#msg260855
« on: January 30, 2011, 11:13:39 pm »
I started off extremely nooby(still am nooby :) ), found this game on kongregate and didn't find the forums till later.  The tutorial area helped, but a lot of the guides aren't so great since the last change to the AI3 decks.

Though I was doing alright, I screwed up on the rare pick(chose eagle eye but abandoned air), switched around my AI3 farming deck a few times, and built a few horrible rainbow decks.  So I started over.

El Decko

Deck import code : [Select]
5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5ul 5ul 5ul 5ul 5ul 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5up 5up 5up 5uq 5ur 5us 5us 8pt

You can't afford this deck right out the gate unless you've done the quests up to the 150 reward and have reset.  But I think its worth building towards.

The Black Dragons are the key to victory.  Generally I get them out fast unless I'm worried of Maxwell's Demons or Lightning hits.

Devourers are great at absorbing lighting, fire/ice bolts, or rage potions if you get them out before a dragon.  Seems like theres always a Lightning right off the bat with the aether AI3.  They're also great against the earth AI3 because even after a couple Earthquakes you still have quantum coming in.  I do tend to hold them back against the gravity or time AI3 decks, or only put down 1 against gravity or 2 against time.

The Steals are very handy against Dimensional Shields, Druidic Staffs, Empathic Bonds, or any other weapon/shield causing a problem.  Also if I have 2 available against the earth AI3 and it has a Catapult out, I'll steal that and a Gravity Pillar after it uses Basilisk Blood on a couple Devourers to add some use to them, it does about 16 damage per Devourer then.

Nightfall is nice, moves creatures another point away from danger from a devour skill, and makes any Devourers more useful, but its not needed most times.

Love the Vampire Stiletto when its at the top of the deck, its low in cost, does damage, and heals.  Though during the game I'll usually steal another weapon its still nice to have in the beginning or when theres nothing good to steal.

I have the Drain Life cards mainly for taking out a Maxwell's Demon as it can ruin me with its paradox if unchecked.  They're good against Dune Scorpions and Pegasuses(sp?) too.

I've played 100 games against AI3 with this deck and have won 93, lost 7.  Average turns to winning is about 10.

Upgrading the Devourers would make it a safer deck from Otyughs and Scarabs.  I plan to stick with this, maybe upgrade a few things, build up some cash, and rares, until I can build a nice rainbow deck.

Abandoned :air Air? :c
I'm hurt.

Aside, this seems like a pretty standard :darkness Darkness deck. I'm not an expert but you seem to have a good plan.

30 cards.
Streamlined.
A way to make use of extra :darkness.
> 90% Win rate.

I think you're doing pretty darn good. Keep it up!!

Awesome build. I am running a deck IN PvP right now almost like it.
You need things that can put out damage, so another dragon I think.
Also add a liquid Shadow! Thing with low health can be killed with it due to poison, it takes away a skill and adds vampire, and the AI3 has tons of annoying guys with different skills. Also once you get a dragon out and play Liquid on it you become very hard to kill.
Maybe take out a steal and one Drain life for a dragon and Liquid shadow.

Ya I've thought about adding another Black Dragon, so far though I have only been short a dragon in 2 games, and one of them I ended up winning anyway.  I had over 100 dark quantum saved, brought my life up enough to survive another round and the Titan I stole finished AI3 off on the next one.

Liquid Shadow I don't think I understand well.  So you use it and it poisons the target creature, but then when they attack, any damage they do is suppose to heal them?  Or you?  It never seems like the vampire skill works to me.

Oh and Hyroen, I still love air, I just lack talent with it.  lol

If you like the Stiletto, wait until you can upgrade it - it becomes much better.  It should be the first card you upgrade in this deck.

Don't worry about picking a rare weapon you won't stick with... it's very easy to get more rare weapons by farming T50 - check this thread for some good anti-T50 decks that don't require upgrades:
http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,11026.0.html

The second deck in there uses Arsenic, a rare weapon, but you could sub your Vampire Stiletto in without any problem.  If you decide to farm T50 for rares, do so soon - it's going to be replaced by T500 shortly, which will eliminate rare farming.  Also, farm T50 during non-peak hours, like mid-morning on weekdays... that seems to be when the most people have rare farms up.  Don't expect every deck you face in T50 to be a rare farm, sometimes it's kind of lean.

With vampire when you deal damage you heal that much damage just like that darkness weapon.
When you use liquid shadow on a black dragon you poison it but you also give it vampire so that when it hits the opponet it heals you the amount you hit them for. The dragon has 10 attack so you heal alot, and in addition it has 5 health so it will live for 5 attacks after you liquid shadow it. That 50 damage, and 50 healing in 5 turns.
You can option to use liquid shadow on an opponets card, the poison will kill the card at some point, but mostly you want to use it on annoying cards like Firefly queen, you will replace's it's firefly skill with vampire. Yes it will heal them by 3 but they can't make an endless army of firefly's anymore.

@johannhowitzer  My account is on kongregate so I can't do T50, that I know of at least.  Don't feel like starting over on the elements main site.

@LongDono  Ah!  That makes sense, don't know why it didn't before.  Can think of quite a few uses for Liquid Shadow then.  I maybe have to drop a steal for it.

you can play top50 on kongregate. just hit the quest button then look off to the left and hit the top50 button there.

that being said, i've never been a fan of mono dark, but this one looks fine to me, maybe one more nightfall?

you don't have to start a new if u switch from kong to main site...
on the kong version, you will find a button saying "account info" or something like it on the top right corner of the game screen, click that, and it will show you your username and password to use on the main site

Awesome!  Guess its time to start upgrading some cards and go after the T50s.

I like the bigger screen size from the main site too.

I use a deck almost exactly like this sometimes.
Code: [Select]
5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5ul 5ul 5ul 5ul 5ul 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5up 5us 5us 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t5 7t6 7ta 7tb 7tc
I have a few upgraded cards because I have used a deck very close to this for a long time. I guess great minds think alike. :)

This could be easily modified into a PvP deck, it got me to 2nd place in a SHUT (Super Sunday's Homemade Underground Tournaments).  Actually, it's more reducing the QI as there was a lot of room with those extra pillars.  Thought I would show the appreciation with my modified version:

Code: [Select]
5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5ul 5ul 5ul 5ul 5ul 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5uo 5uo 5up 5up 5up 5up 5uq 5ur 5us 5us 5v8 606 606 606 606
The black nymph was my touch since I had one availible, but that would probably a 6th dragon if you don't have one.  Pendulums for a slight edge against EQ, though barely necessary with the low total amount.  Didn't stress the extra quanta so drain life is where you getting stalled.
