This is the deck I'm using right now. It works great for the pvp 1 and ai3. When fully upgraded it works well against everything but FG and higher levels in the arena. Any way have fun with it :).

I am also open for suggestions

Try to cut it down to 30 cards i reckon, 40 card decks are ugly if you ask me (no offense)

that's the starter darkness deck. and I probably won't change marks because I don't rely on devourers to win, they are just a nice card to have on hand

I find that cutting my deck to 30 cards ruins my deck, I like 40 cards because I can put in more spells and stuff, and I rarely loose a match due to not drawing a card.

I think your lucky if you find it rare that you don't draw bad hand often.
I would suggest sliming it down to at least 25 cards.

That would take some skill, the limit is 30 cards and above, but even if I get a bad draw I can usually pull through with steals, dusk mantle, and drain lives.

Boo!
I happen to like 40 card decks  :D

Anyways, I'd probably replace a devourer for a steal- I don't like devourers, and extra PC is always nice. Admittedly, it does look like you're cramming too much stuff in. Try eliminating a few combos or features- like the devourers, or either the vamps/drain lifes. Definitely remove some creatures if you are going to slim it down, but it should still work fine as it is.

What are the gargoyles for? Moderate amounts of damage? Seems odd to see them in a deck with absolutely no earth quanta to buff them up a bit and make them more durable. Why not a couple of dragons instead, a mono dark with pests/devourers certainly should have the dark quanta for it in my opinion.

....of course I'm kinda new so I may not know what the heck I'm talking about there. Dragons ARE a tad expensive to play.

SHAME, how I missed that you have six dragons I have no clue.

But uh, yeah the gargoyles, any particular purpose they serve? They seem a tad redundant with all the other creatures you already have in the deck. It lacks any earth quanta to fuel their one trick with the +20 health, and you already have quite a few other relatively low cost cards in the deck.

I'm not slimming this deck down ever, I've played it ever since I started and it works too well to mess with, (I've tried).

They're there for exactly that. Having only dragons works, but gargoyles are for that extra support- less creatures = more vulnerability to creature control, and also speeds up your deck by allowing you to play a damage source earlier on.

Hrmm, I suppose I can see your point there, although if you want it for that earlier damage, why not switch out one dragon for one more Gargoyle? Six and two seems to me like it would leave a lot of times where you don't draw the gargoyle till later, especially in a 40 card deck.
