ART: Clean0nion IDEA: Zblader NOTES: A flexible weapon that can be run in multiples, inspired by ji412jo's idea of a "cloak and dagger" shield. If an Animated Gadget Sword turns into a Gadget Shield, that shield returns to the shield slot. If a Gadget Shield/Sword transforms while a weapon/shield slot is occupied, that weapon/shield is replaced by the new Gadget Sword/Shield. Crusaders that use Gadget Sword's ability will become Gadget Shields. Spoiler for Old balance calculations: Momentum is worth roughly 1 . Assuming 1 ATK ~= 1 quanta, Titan - Momentum -1 ATK = 3 weapon that deals 6 damage. Gadget Shield is directly based on Titanium Shield - in theory, an upgraded Titanium Shield that went with cost reduction would instead by 3 for 2 DR. Gadget Shield is a 4 for 2 DR shield upgraded, which would in theory be inefficient without some kind of additional ability - in this case, the ability to convert to a weapon. SERIES:

Probably one of your best cards yet, Z. I wouldn't be surprised to see this hit Cygnia. And, just to clarify, if a Crusader is to endow a Gadget Sword, can it control the transformations? I assume it can only turn it to a shield. Might be helpful in a situation where your Gadget Sword gets frozen via means of Ice Lance(?), and you want the damage reduction from Gadget Shield. Very nice work, I will definitely vote on this if you submit it to the Crucible.

Crusader can only turn into a Shield, yes.

By what reasoning/cards/logic? I'm considering the change, but I'm curious as to why.

Gravity could use being nice to, part of Titan's cost is 50hp, this equipment deserves to be a bit cheaper since it's a bit awkward (cheaper is faster, this is slow due to having to wait to use active, so compensation)

Honestly shield should cost 3. Shields generally get a -2 cost improvement when upgraded, so I think Titanium shield would cost 2 if upped if it didn't gain DR (See Tower Shield)

View this as a long sword that can become a tower shield

Shield's ability should cost less than Sword's so that it's generally cheaper to run upped (ie shield-deck's play shield, use ability, play 2nd shield is cheaper than sword-deck's play sword use ability, play 2nd sword)
