When you use Legislate, it makes a list of valid targets, and then chooses a random creature from that list as target. Then it shuffles a Legislate into your deck.
If there are no valid targets, nothing happens (i.e. the spell does nothing, and there are no copy shuffled into the deck either.)

Note: Law is currently plagued with the same bug as SoFree is in Cygnia, OetG and Oetg-v: Every copy played except the first one will be invisible on the field. You can still see that it is there by mousing over its spot, so everything works except you can't see it directly. This will be fixed eventually (i.e. when we figure out how), in the meanwhile, remember that this is only a visual error.

Welcome to Elements Cygnia! This project is essentially a variant of Elements the Game where players can make use of their card ideas, and can be played by anyone here! Out of respect for Zanzarino, we have preserved the core cardpool and gameplay as it was originally intended; any 'changes' made to the game are instead done through adding card ideas suggested by the community.

As cards enter our Armory in the new CI&A Levels system, they will be added to Cygnia in regular updates maintained by our current Curators (ZephyrPhantom, Espithel, AD TienzuStorm, Fippe94) and serprex/UTAlan. These cards then can be used in PvP matches in Cygnia alongside EtG cards that have been coded to remain faithful to the original game. For those not familliar with the deckbuilding screen, here's a brief breakdown of how it works:

To play PvE, just press one of the buttons below "Import". There are four difficulties of AI opponents you can face.

Commoner: 0 upped cards, 100 hp
Mage: 10% upped cards, 125 hp
Champion: 30% upped cards, 150 hp

AI decks are typically randomly generated monos/duos. We also have False Gods ported directly from EtG and are capable of implementing False God Proposals - see here. if you want your False God in the game! Once card ideas enter Cygnia, False Gods that utilize them are also an option.

Beware, though, rumor has it that three new False Gods already lurk among the ranks of the existing ones...





To play PvP, you and the player you're playing with have to agree on a "room name", which you both need to input in "Challenge" - for example, if Jack and Luigi want to play and agree to use the word "Atlas" as the room name, both players must put the word "Atlas" in the Challenge field. Once both players have done that, you both need to hit the "PvP" button to start the match - it might take a little time, so be patient!

As of right now, Cygnia has 21/24 cards from its Advent set added ingame, in addition to being able to use the Mark of Chroma.

Want more cards? That's  where you come in! By submitting cards here, you have a chance to get your card voted into the Armory and eventually into Cygnia for future use! That's right - if you make a good card, it's quite possible people could be playing with it in the future if it becomes popular enough!

Please keep in mind Cygnia is fairly new to all parties involved and thus is likely to experience a lot of bugs. If you find any bugs or issues while playing, please post them here. Additionally, Cygnia shares the same chatroom server with OpenETG and OpenETGv - please be aware that this is to keep the the server costs to a minimum and separate chatrooms are unlikely to happen. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause in advance.

FAQs:

Q: Does this replace OpenEtG?
A: No. Cygnia and OpenEtG are separate projects and we will be aiming to keep them separate.

Q: Is this meant to replace Elements the Game in any way?
A: Absolutely not. If you somehow found this thread first, we strongly encourage you to play Elements the Game first, since it has greater community support and community-hosted PvP events.

Q: What browsers support Cygnia?
A: Firefox and Chrome work fine; Internet Explorer will be incompatible with some parts of the game. Other browsers have yet to be tested.

Q: Is this project legal?
A: Yes, we currently have approval from zanzarino to work on this.

Q: Will you buff/nerf Dim Shield/Discord/SoFree/[insert Elements the Game card here?]
A: No. Any card from the original Elements the Game is considered Zanzarino's work and thus we will not make any attempt to alter or touch those cards.

Who will make (code) the cards from the Armory to be tested in Cygnia? I guess serprex and Fippe?
Also, will the cards with slightly changed stats be changed back to EtG original ones?

This idea is neat for the CIA as a whole.

Curators will be coding the cards; serprex and Fippe94 will assist for more complex functions and mechanics.

Correct; July will basically be cards entering the Crucible and possibly Forge . By the end of August, cards will have entered the armory and then be coded into Cygnia.

We may speed up card intake rate a bit as a well for the initial CI&A "reopening period".

oetg is its own separate game. It's got a development team behind it, and it's autonomous, or independant from etg and its forums.

Cygnia is not. Cygnia is a tool.

The best way to describe cygnia is back before the giant cia inactivity crash, curators and gurus had a system for playing with custom cards manually, like you would with magic or another paper TCG/CCG. The problem is that it took forever to play like this.
All cygnia is is just that system - a way of playing with custom cards - with a computer behind it to save fuss and time.

And unlike oetg, that's all cygnia will >ever< be. It won't turn into oetg 2. It's going to remain a tool.

If you spot any differences, point them out and we'll correct them.
