I like the idea, but the ability is a little too much, IMO. Also, Ziz protects little birds in the myth, right? Um how about making it to protect only the :air creatures (with less than 2 attack)? Less powerful that way? Just a suggestion :)

Yeah, I would say so. How about this: "While in play, all creatures that have less than 2 attack are immaterial. Overburden: May not be immortalized." It should be able to be killed at all times, because if you immortalize this beast it's gonna own so bad.

Ziz cannot be immortal. (Thanks noobiecakes!)

As for BE and Fractal, keep in mind that timing is everything - you need to play BE and/or Fractal first before Ziz can protect them.  Since Ziz can't be immortal anymore, it's not impossible to get out of a Malignant Cell lockdown if it appears - use CC on Ziz.
