Would the creatures instantly die upon entering play, or would they last a turn like spark // ball lightning? I think the second option would be cooler
It does beg the question of what would happen if a spark was played while this was out; would it have negative hp, and what would that do? :p
Unfortunately, I think the upped one is too powerful, but the unupped one seems okay to me. The upped one is particularly good in combination with elite otyugh; it would become bigger and it would make most of its prey smaller, thus effectively increasing its devouring range by 2.
As long as the debuff / buff doesn't stack, I think it should be fairly easy to balance.
I think the upped probably needs a cost boost, but given that it is limited to

, it is spared for issues of abuse with scorpoins, devourers, etc.
I think it would make a very amusing card in a Salvage-tal deck.
The one balance issue I do see is that it effectively auto-kills any 1 hp creature the opponent plays. This is probably a little too strong. At the very least, creatures reduced to 0 hp should be allowed to live till end of turn (like spark and phase salvagers).
Nice work editing the art clip by the way!
