Next in a line of cards to promote greater use of max hp drain mechanisms.
Idea was inspired by the "Shadow Man" from Disney's Princess and the Frog.

The ability gives an instant attack power boost and healing to the target and inflicts 2 points of curse status (use the :darkness symbol maybe?)
Curse status will deduct its value from the creature max attack and max hp each turn.

If played on a voodoo doll, the curse status will transfer to the opponent as well as being placed upon their currently equipped weapon.
The effect will remain on the weapon if it is animated.
While unanimated, only the weapons attack will be reduced each turn, but it will begin losing max hp if animated.

Creatures and players will never have their max hp reduced below 1 point… So the effect is non-lethal, but makes healing the victim less useful since they will have fewer and fewer hp to restore.

The curse status can be removed by purify, or other effects that cleanse poison.

If this effect targeted a voodoo doll, would it lower the max HP of the opponent too? This could make an evil voodoo doll / witch doctor/SoV deck, i like. Also, can this give a negative attack?

This cannot cause attack 0 nor can it cause hp to go below 1 (the former would be a little too potent with AM).

The voodoo doll, however, would indeed stack up the drain, just like it would for damage... I.e. puting this on a voodoo doll, the player gains 2 curse status.
So each time the doll's owner turn comes along, the doll loses 2 max HP and so does the opponent. Then on the opponent's turn, they lose another 2 max hp due to the curse status. So this will add up very fast as long as the doll remains in play.

Actually, it might become MORE useful now... SoV is a permanent that causes max HP drain... this is a creature based version. So when you use the voodoo combo, it gives a two prong assault.
...And by the way, SoV can be VERY deadly when used by an arena deck. If you don't have a reliable PC, arena decks can mass them rapidly, which can be a major problem unless you take down the deck quickly.

Also, since this is a status effect, purify can pull it off... Purify won't help against SoV though.

i meant that this card would give sovs utility as you could now make an entire deck arround limiting hp

is the HP loss stackable for a single creature?

Ah! I gotcha... I thought you were implying that this would make SoV less useful.

The hp loss is stackable, just like poison status, but affecting max HP instead of current HP.

So, for example, if you cast this on a creature 2 times it would lose 4 max HP every round.
