NOTES:
This can target creatures AND permanents AND weapons, basically
anything with an ability that, you know, can be doubled.  Yes, this
can stack with multiple doses, so with two castings you can make
an Eternity's ability cost 12 :time.
Pretty basic, there isn't much to explain otherwise.

LOL, this used six times on a Purple Nymph... It would require 256 :entropy to cast Antimatter! :o

And then, I use SoR on the Nymph. You: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I think it should have a new name, when I think of weaken I think of attack/ hp permanently lowered

Well are you not putting more strain on the monster to activate its ability, thus weakening it?  I mean it's not the greatest name in the world, I'll admit, but it seems to fit the cards logistics well enough.

Perhaps a name like Burden or Strain would work? 

I like the idea a lot.  It's useful, good anti-rainbow utility, but not game-breaking unless you dedicate multiples of this card to shutting down one opponent creature.

Instead of doubling, why not just add one (or two).
(Then it could counter SoR).
People use SoR to avoid having quanta production for the ability.

I agree with the above statements, with that effect not having enough impact to warrant a card.

However, after reading the posts, I realized that this would also give more use to SoR, since players up against a :darkness mark will know to at least pack one for a creature or two.  That doesn't save their permanents, however.   8)

Love it, but the name is definitely too generic, you could weaken HP, ATK, a skill, increase a cost, all of these would be to Weaken.

Try and select a name that you could think to yourself... "That applies best to Skill Cost as opposed to decreasing HP, ATK, etc."

Oh, but 1 thing, why the large drop in cost when upgraded?
