I think this card would work great if it was hidden from your opponent. Then your just relying on luck whether your opponents next card is useful or not. They wouldnt do anything to stop you, as they didnt know it existed.
That would be even more frustrating than the card already is. Imagine a FG with this; you'll never dare to play a spell.

I honestly think that there should be NO card that is hidden from the opponent. Cards can be immaterial (unable to be targeted), but not knowing it's even there? That would frustrate so many players so much if you had invisible cards that the other person wasn't aware about. :(

Can this steal creature abilities that affect the creature itself, or just targeted abilities.
What about not targeted spells with default target: firestorm is not targeted, flying weapon is not targeted.

What happens with targeted creature abilities that have no spell card?

Wouldn't this be more powerful if the chance to steal is 100%? That way, if your opponent has 6 spells in his deck that are vital for his victory, then there is a high chance that all 6 of those spells will be stolen.

Should I make the steal chance 33%? Also, I can increase the cost to 8/7 or 7/6.
100% is weaker than 50% because it guarantees that the Orb will take the lure. You could go less than 50% to 33% but the cost still needs to be high because your now a random chance of taking that miracle without them being able to be safe in its casting again.

You could if you want to make it as cheap as it is leave the cost at 5 and bring down the chance to steal to 20%, meaning your opponent is only getting stooged 1 in 5 times and when they do you have had to be down a card for that period. It also makes the odds low enough that it is still beneficial to try and cast a spell rather than not.

Right now I think I'll leave the steal chance to 33%. If I change it to 20%, then one Orb will hardly steal anything at all, because your opponent has a limited supply of spells.

Or should I make the chance REALLY low, and have it negate and steal both spells and creature abilities?

The entire point of this card was to "steal" a spell. I made this card to fit Darkness's theme of using your opponent's strength against him/her. Darkness can steal anything ;)

But this card is not OP, is it?

BTW, the 50% thing is there so that people would not just bait the effect with weak spells, then play the strong spells without fear. If it's 100% instead of 50%, you would use something to trigger the effect first, then play your Miracle.
It has the HUGE possibility of becoming overpowered in certain situations.  Spell stealing Miracle/Fractal is pretty imba.
(I'm pretty much against RNG in card games, screw the 50%)

Darkness is known for other things aside from stealing.
-Veil(Cover) of Darkness
-The Abyss
-Insanity
Are just a few examples of dark themes.  This card could even be renamed "Orb of the Abyss"... Besides, when have warlocks (or their orbs) been known to steal?  They've been known to siphon life.
well first of all though darkness is not know only for stealing that is about 50-25% of darkness atm also warlocks are not know to steal but this is more about them changing the spell to be "evil" darkness and destroying there enemies which i would guess would be like them.

This card is kinda funny.
You play a warlock orb, the opponent tries to steal it, you stop it with the orb and then use it's new ability to steal from the opponent. You just countered a spell and stole a permanent. Imagine if it's another warlock orb!

It's a little overpowered as it is, I'd make it a counter to abilities instead.

I'm not sure how devour would work through.
