Would this be a defense against Black Hole?  Ironically, a Black Hole would then be powered by darkness...

I don't think this is unbalanced. The permanent has to be on the table at the time you use miracle.
So, it is not like steal where it comes from thin air.
It could also be interesting to use cheap weak effects first, instead of miracle to play with its triggering.
Situation:
They got 2 black dragons and this. You got 2 lightnings and miracle.
Obviously you would discharge the lightnings on the dragons, then use miracle.

but would AI's do that? and if you draw the card you need you would have to have another card to save you

and it is pretty much indestructable. you would need 2 steals/ dehydrations to kill it  or have a previously mutated/ butter fly effect creature or the pulverizer

The edges of the orb are way too sharp. It needs to look more rounded and ball-like.

Love the idea, reminds me of traps from the Yu-Gi-Oh! series. I think more cards like this should be implemented, with trap-like features, such as an  :earth Pit \ Trap Hole, where the played creature is buried or an  :aether Splice \ Elite Splice, where the last played creature is destroyed but X amount of 1|1 (destroyed creature) are summoned, all are lobotomized and where X is equal to the creature's HP.

As an extra feature, and if more trap-like cards are implemented, there should also be a way to hide your permanents from view when they are played. This concept would fit in perfectly with Warlock's Orb. This would give  :darkness and  :light new fields of suggestion and cards such as Precognition and Golden Nymph would be much more useful.

By this I assume that you mean, if more than 1 of this card is in play, that they all act Sequentialy?

-----------------

There is dislike to cards that directly deny cards or cause a loss of cards that they need just to play. This card can potentially lock out any Supernova, Nova, Immolation, Miracle, Quintessence the player needs to just play. Do you think there will be a bad feeling among players and reduce interest in the game if this card was in the game burning people?

------------------

When does the negation trigger occur, Before costs, After costs, After Additional Costs?
1. As I said, it's just like Armagio. Only one spell-stealing ability is active at one time.

2. As I said, you can easily use weaker spells to trigger the Orbs first, then play your stronger spells.
Also, what kind of decks use spells as their sole ways of winning? Even if that's true, then on average only three out of the six vital spells will be stolen. I don't see the "frustration factor" to be too much of a problem.
If you're really that worried, why not test it?

3. Right after the spell is played, before quanta cost is deducted. But this might be a problem though, because currently the game deducts costs even before you select a target...
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

The presence of this card frustrates me and if given a yes|no option to put it in the game I would say no. Its not my job as Curator tho to say yes or no but give awareness to things that I consider inappropriate or requiring justification. The community as a whole judges by playing the game or not and in a lesser sense will say so during the Crucible votes.

If I'm playing a deck and need to protect my creatures with Quint and this takes my protection and stops me then I'm annoyed. Same as if I need to Deflag a shield and it might fail. These all frustrate me. On top of the disruption you gain card advantage for having this card in play.

I don't need to test anything here to have a feeling of the card.

Frustrates you? Well, what do you feel when your opponent pulls out a quinted Otyugh and/or protected Pulverizer in the first turn? Ain't those annoying as well? What about the feeling of not daring to play your Otyugh even though your FG opponent has no creatures or permanents on the table?

Frustration is hardly the right way to judge a card.

To decks that rely soley on spells to function.
Raibow/golem rushes. -- Huge amounts  of them in PvP + Huge amounts of Darkness decks in PvP = mass frustration

To quinted Oty/Protected Pulvy on the first turn.
This takes time or an incredible amount of luck to set up, warlocks orb does not.

To frustration in general
All cards based on chance will generate frustration. Ask a random person what they think of dusk shield and 75% of the time they'll say that it's bugged, indicating their annoyance toward it. (I hate, it it must be broken..)
If you lose a game due to chance there is often more bitterness than had you lost it to a skilled original opponent; you end up cursing your luck, or cursing the "stupid game" if you're a bit fed up. (Think of a gambler smacking a slot machine)

To this card
Its a shudown card. Pure and simple. At this stage of the game I don't think any more "limiting" cards should be introduced.
Perhaps when the game is more developed this card will see implementation, but until more gameplay aiding cards are introduced I just don't want to see any more gameplay limiters.

My only concern is that whether this card is overpowered or not. I don't really care about other factors, because if this card is balanced, then it can be implemented.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

kael all your cards frustrate me XD. i barley understand them, this idea however is easy to under stand- 1 orb absorbs 1 spell. 6 orbs - 1 orb absorbs spell.

Frustration is hardly the right way to judge a card.
It does not frustrate me be when my opponent plays the protected pulverizer or quinted otyugh because it does not stop me playing my cards. Its just my opponent playing his.

Is this why you want this card, to stop the opponent playing defensive protected artifact or quintessence?

Feelings about the pressence of a card are things to consider. Does a card generate a Negative play Experience? If so it should be considered why? I just wanted to know if you had considered it.
