IDEA: The_Mormegil NOTES: All pillars and pendulums producing quanta of any other kind do not produce any quanta while this is in play. Nova grants only a single quanta matching your mark, and supernova grants two quanta matching your mark. Same for Immolation (if your mark is Fire, you gain the full quanta, but no off-element quanta). Devourers absorb quanta, but if your mark is not Darkness, they do not give in return. To be noted that due to how Sundial works, this would affect TWO of the owner's turns, instead of one. Unless you play this before playing any other quanta producer. SERIES: -

Very interesting. I would rather have it be worded such that the absolute value of quanta coming in would stay the same but match their elemental mark. I think that might be a bit more balanced.

The card as it is can seriously slap some decks in a shocking way.

EDIT: The word "permanents" can be thrown in and it will solve all the Supernova, Firefly and Cremation issues. ^_^

That change could put the upped version to 3 IMO.

Wait, it would have to exclude creature and spell based quanta from its effects.

Yeah, well, the point wasn't to strengthen monos - as that would require this to cost random quanta, and while that could be an idea for the upped version it is not the case - the point was to give Light a quanta disrupting tool. This can hamper any non-mono deck quite seriously, but the effect it has on novabows and immorushes is terrible. That is intended as I like variety and I would like to see more intresting decks be used rather than rush muscle fights. Reducing the power of nova and immolation is part of the charme this card had in my mind. If that is seen as a bad idea, I can change it to:

But that still leaves Quantum Pillars. I don't think it's a good idea overall, I prefer just stopping quanta production altogether.

That still leaves the problem of Quantum Pillars producing 3x quanta of your chosen element and as I said I kind of wanted it to slaughter nova and immo.
