i say make it hit every creature for 1 damage and up the initial play cost and activation cost remains the same because as it is a volcano they tend to hit everything.  unless you were to make it a missile launcher
I liked this idea.

To all those people who say "this is thunderstorm on a stick" or "this is Eagle's Eye on a stick" do you seriously think I don't know that?

Fix the card, it has a spell mark where it should be a permanent mark. ;)

Yeah, this is technically Eagle's Eye on a stick. Which reminds me...


The major flaw with this card is that it is requesting redundancy in an area of already critically small diversity. We need new weapons much more than we need refluffing of old ones.
What about this? Oldtrees, your suggestion prompts Eagle's Eye redundancy.
The area quoted about is elemental weaponry. Two weapons with the same or almost same effect is not very useful due to the limit of 12*I elemental weapons. There is no such limit to permanents so they can be allowed more redundancy. Cross type (weapon --> non weapon) redundancy can be a problem but I do not think it is in this case.

Additionally Snipe is an ability that has great versatility and thus can be modified (as it has been here) to reduce the redundancy incurred.

However the redundancy should not be ignored. Modifications that reduce the incurred redundancy (such as the thunderstorm on a stick) will be looked upon more favorably.

We should always have more single target CC than AoE CC. However I agree that more AoE CC is needed for what I feel would be ideal.
However I am also hesitant about AoE on a stick.

That would make it UP. Hurting your own creatures just  to do AoE CC of 1 damage? No thank you.

Even in a strategy game, most players are not stupid enough to put their soldiers near a hazard like that unless they have justification.

i say no if it is going to be a thunderstorm on a stick but if it will be a UG on a stick less the 20 point of damage to opponint then lower the cost.  having it be a cheep rain of fire or thunderstorm on a stick might be too much.  you know what you can do is lower the cost and say make it cost earth to play fire fore skill  :fire :fire un upped and  :fire upped
