"free" refers to the fact that the quanta of the enemy is unaffected when the card is played. "played on your side of the field" refers to the fact that when and if a Darkness creature is randomly selected from the enemy's hand, it is played from the enemy's hand as if it were from your hand. Subtle Details: Though not mentioned due to room constraints, the selective targeting component of any spell played through Temptation* is ignored and it targets randomly, if there is one available. If there is no available target, the targeting component of the spell is ignored. If a Temptation is played by Player A, and the random card played from the Player B's hand is yet another Temptation, A is compelled to play a random card from his/her hand. If it is another Temptation, the cycle repeats. The cycle ends when the random card selected is not a Temptation. If the enemy has been Silenced, Temptation has no effect. *If future creatures and permanents involve selective targeting upon being played, they too will acquire a random target upon being played through Temptation. I like the card, but migth be UP, too situational maybe?

I like the card and love the art. Not sure how I feel about this and spells though, it makes it seem more complicated than it really is. Also what happens when the opponent has no cards? Maybe there should be a "the opponent takes _________ damage if unable to play" clause.

UP o: if you use this with nightmare, wouldnt it be easier just to use the creature you want yourself?
Like if you wanted to use this+nightmare devourers
its 8 quantum unupped to get a devourer(also, if you use it the turn you use nightmare it defeats the point)

It's a good point. I think I may mention that if they have no cards in their hand, this does nothing.

So this card:
1) Speeds the opponent up for Doll decks
2) Can cause them to mistarget Single target CC or Buffs/mistime AoE effect or short term effects like Dissipation Shield, Phase Shield, Sundial
3) Can cause them to play key cards earlier than intended
4) Can force them to summon Nightmare'd creatures on their side of the field like malignant cell
5) Can force them to summon Nightmare'd Darkness creatures for you

I started thinking that this card required a specific 3 card combo to work. This is not the case. This card is much much more versatile than it appears.

Is it worth 4 |3 ? I am not sure. However I do know that this is a great card and well placed in Darkness.

I approve of this card. It will be a great addition to the game both as a minor discard and as a nightmare buff.
