"Inspiration will come today, but don't hold your breathe."

"Fear not the mist, but rather that which lurks within"

The mechanic should be fairly straightforward,

The user targets a slot and the corresponding column gets filled by a "mist" field effect.

Any spell ability or other single target effect that targets a creature inside the mist will have a chance to be redirected at a random target.

Any creature inside the mist that uses a single target skill will have a chance to have that skill be redirected at a random target.

The chance of redirection is 50%. Since this is a field effect, there is no stacking, it is either present in a slot or it is not.

Redirected affects can end up hitting targets on either side.

For creatures in the mist using a skill, even effects that target permanents or players rather than other creatures will still be affected.

A creature casting an ability from within the mist is itself fair game as a redirection target.

I love the mechanic of this card, but I think it may be a bit overpriced. A column would only effect a few creatures at maximum, so I suggest lowering the ability cost to 1 :entropy. Since it only targets one column and is a sort of difficult duo to use, I suggest lowering the cost on both the unupped and upped one by 1 :air.

Seems reasonable.

Post updated accordingly.

Plague, as other spells as fire storm and lightning storm, does not specifically target a creature, and is therefore unaffected by the mist.

It fits too. Think of an actual volcanic eruption or a lightning storm. A mist, unless it's thicker than water, wouldn't do much to protect what it's hiding :p

Exactly!
The idea is that the mist makes it difficult to single out any one target... but anything that spams all creatures on the field (plague, pandemonium, firestorm, etc.) is unaffected because its hitting the entire field.
