NOTES:

Mechanism:
-When a player activates the urn they will be given targeting based on how many creatures are stored.
---If the urn is empty only creatures can be targeted,
------Targetting a creature will put it on the first available slot in the urn (stacking bottom to top)
---If the urn is full, only hand and field slots can be targeted.
------Targetting a field or hand slot will put the creature at the bottom of the urn's stack into that slot. If the slot does not belong to the same player as the creatures owner, a random field slot for that player is picked.
---If the urn is part full then players' hands, creatures, and field will be targettable.

Creatures stored within the urn do not attack and their abilities cannot be activated and a reverted to the base cards stats and traits.

Skills that do not require direct interaction (such as quanta production and salvage) will continue to function normally for creatures in an urn.

Creatures in an urn are still counted toward total creatures in play. I.e. scarabs in play will benefit from the swarm skill of scarabs in urns, hope will gain bonuses from light producers in urns, empathic bond will count creatures in urns owned by the same owner toward its healing, etc.

From a programming point of view, the urn only needs to track the card type and owner of the creatures inside it. It will act as pseudo extension of the field that holds its occupants in state of temporal limbo.

If the urn is destroyed while there are creatures inside, it will release the stored creatures to their owner's fields. If the fields are full they go to the owner's hands. If the owner's hand is also full, the creatures are placed on top of their deck (like rewind).

I put limits of 3 creatures to an urn rather arbitrarily, but I'm open to changing them if a different number seems better for balance / aesthetics etc.
--To stay useful for swarm, empathic bond, etc. the capacity should probably be larger than 1.

seems not usefull to me... just a waste of quanta
It is actually fairly flexible and could be very useful in a number of situations.

1) Defensively:
-Summon an off element creature (move it from hand to urn, then urn to field)
--Expensive, but may be worth it in some cases.
-Effectively "Rewind" a creature to remove debuffs without clogging your draw
-Extend your effective field size for effects like empathic bond, swarm, and hope shield
-Protect creatures with a useful passive trait (salvagers, quanta producers, etc.)

2) Offensively:
-Remove buffs from an enemy creature e.g. "rewind" like effect
-Prevent enemy creatures from attacking or using abilities until the urn is destroyed or you decide to release them.


So basically -
Gives :life a permanent based stall effect
Gives :life a means to summon in any off element creature (for a fairly hefty price)
Gives :life a means to purge effects from creatures
Gives :life a way to extend its field size for use with empathic bond or similar effects.
Gives :life a way to move creatures from one field slot to another

Why would I watch someone's crimson dragon beat on me when I can stick it in the urn and leave it there indefinitely.
The urn even fits 3...

Although crimson dragon may be a good point since they would be playing :fire and probably be packing deflags.

Any other element's dragon could have issues though. Even steal wouldn't help since they would still need :time quanta to get it back out.

If you're saying its a cost issue, then I could always drop the casting and / or activation cost.

I aimed on the high side since I wasn't sure if it would be OP or not given that it has the potential to delay up to 3 creatures indefinitely.

Look at from this point of view:
Squid - delays a creature for 3 turns, requires 2 :water each turn. ==> Can keep up to 3 creatures delayed indefinitely
This card - delays up to 3 creatures until you decide to let them out again. No upkeep cost on the delay, but will auto-release if destroyed.

You forgot to make it a permanent. Lol... but I get your point there... I think...

So what if instead of preventing attack altogether, it reduced the damage dealt by a percentage (e.g. 50% would be like forced burrowing).

That would keep with the original theme I had in mind of creating a pseudo field-slot extender.
