Very nice. Maybe go upped atk/hp 4/4? 6/2 seems insta kill by aoe cards 4/4 has more survival
Make ability cost 2  :darkness
Maybe for upped version if you change ability to must have upped cloak maybe it could be a 3/6?

Yep, ability cost raised to 2 :darkness.

Unupped and upped versions of cards like Cloak, Steal, Deflagration, etc., where the mechanic is identical, cannot be differentiated by the game to my knowledge. The low HP is compensation for its powerful ability.

Butterfly effect is generally accepted to be quite UP.

Both require two-card combos and large amounts of their respective elements, so it seems balanced enough.

The other thing, though, is that BE adds a Destroy effect to an element that doesn't already have one. See also: Pulverizer. Fire only has one in-element way to destroy permanents, everything else requires a good chunk of :gravity or :entropy investment.

Imagine facing a tight 30 card monodark (or 35/70 card in the case of arena) with 6 steals and 6 thieves. You wouldn't be able to hang onto anything important unless you had PA.

The card design itself is fine, Darkness is a flavor/style match and I don't think the card is OP on its own. The trouble is when you combine it with more stealage. I'd try to find another element for it. Thieving Trickster Pixiepants :life? Snatching Seagull :air? I know this would require a significant rework of the card, but I honestly think that's the only way this would make it into the game.

You also need Cloak to make it work, and each Cloak only gives max 3 steals per Thief/Robber.

I considered making it another element, but I can't think of any others that fit thematically.
