the 2 cond is better but you should make a maximum so kinda max dmg 10 or so

I voted for the top version because of its simplicity. The bottom version is too complex, and can be quite OP.

Generally I value practicality more than sentimentality, so I don't really care whether the first version is copied from Final Fantasy or not. They don't have a patent on the "Doom" status.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

Actually, in a mechanical sense the creature wont die until after it is at 0 hp and the state check sees it is at 0 at which time it kills the creature. Anything that kills a creature by HP damage will leave the Reaper with a 0 hp bonus.

The bottom version could be simplified. Just give the reaper 0/3 (or1/3, if it's upped).  Ability:Adds the attack and hp stats of the most recent creature to die.  This would also make it so blessings bestowed on it before it uses its ability are not wasted.

and blessings and the such aren't wasted, those add to the reapers attack and hp for the last creature that died. it works exactly as the simplified suggestion you made.

My point had nothing to do with this card, but actual mechanics that occur in the game. It won't be dead until its HP is 0.

To make your card work you want it to grab some value that will never exist unless you add a check variable to every creature just in case it dies while reaper is around.

it already has a card wich auto kills so this could work shockwave

How about if for the second one its that the next creature your opponent kills?
that would sorta make it a quint for multiple creatures though since you enemy wouldnt kill any thing other that small creatures to get the ability used. plus you cant just throw out a a crimson drag kill it and then get 6 of the or maybe you could fractal it a few times and get like 22 of em  :D
