I have two ideas listed here because I couldn't figure out which one I liked more. The top on is really an almost blatant copy from the Final Fantasy series. The second idea is purely from my mind. If it resembles anything else in other card games, then I assure you I don't know of it.

EDIT: It seems people like the top version better, so that's the version this card will be.

Stolen or not, I love this idea. I also like the art.

Definitely the first version because it's simple. Second version is a "math card" which I don't like.

One thing about the art. The fact that the Reaper is so short, makes him look almost like a kid, which gives the art a bit of a "cartoonish" flavor. Not a big deal to me, but someone else might think differently. Extra portion of "evilness" wouldn't hurt.

P.s. You could rename the elite version to "Grim Reaper".

Thanks, and yeah, believe me, the art looked a lot more cartoonish before I modified it some on the actual card. It was a rush job for the most part haha.

I was debating whether or not to title the upped one Grim Reaper or not in case the second version is the more popular one, as the second version isn't too much like the Grim Reaper in my mind. But the first one is definitely Grim Reaper material.

hmm, 6 reapers 1 bone dragon, kill the bone dragon => 6 more powerful bone dragons for  1/2 the cost. and thats the nice version. what about growing or blessed cratures in a rainbow deck? 2 or 3 of this card would be the ultimate protection for them.

what happens, if a reaper dies due to fire shield or thorn carapace and there is another reaper on the field (base value is 0|3 ?)? what happens, if a creature died through poisoning? what happens, if your opponent plays a spark? what happens, if multiple creatures are dying simultaneously? (although the will probably die from "left to right")

i think, the cost should be raised to 7  :death or 9 :death, to be in line with twin universe | mirror universe costs. other than that, the idea is great.

Yes, base value is 0|3, but if a reaper dies while it has the attack of a different creature, the second reaper will gain that attack, and 1 hp, since the only way the reaper can die is from poison or fire buckler and will have 1 hp the moment before it dies.

If a reaper dies from fire buckler or by poison, then the attack gets added to the second reaper and only 1 hp, since the hp before the creature died was 1.

Same goes for any creature that died in a similar manner. The Reaper gains the Attack and the HP that the creature had right before it died.

Spark gives the attack, but since it has 0 hp, Reaper doesn't gain any hp and remains at 3.

if multiple creatures die, the very last one to die will be the creature that affects the Reaper, since it was the most recent death.

I chose the first version. The second one is essentially a Quintessence and a small addition to stats, given a creature control spell.

The first one is not overpowered but it can help greatly.

Great job on this one. Art is awesome :)

I'm torn on both ideas... but in case for practical (and simple) reasons, I voted for the first one because even though I ABSOLUTELY hated the 'Doom' debuff from the Final Fantasy games (>.<), it's easy to understand for any player, and its cost is expensive enough to make it only usable on targets that would take too long to die from ordinary poisons/infections (Bloodsucker, Plague, Retrovirus, etc.).

The second one seems super complicated and potentially more overpowered than the first.

1) Find a massive target with around 5 HP (some dragons).
2) Use Thunderbolt/Congeal + Shockwave/Paradox effect/etc.
3) ???
4) Profit.

Not to mention the description seems like it barely fits onto the card, so I don't know how it would look like in game with the correct font...

Thanks for the input ^_^ and yeah, it did barely fit on the card. I had to do some careful rewording to make it all fit. I know it looks complicated, but i swear it's not that hard to udnerstand...at least in my mind XD

this card can be easily countered if you antimatter a creature then kill it

Yeah, but this requires a specialized Antimatter control deck. Who knows whether your opponent is playing a Reaper? It's much easier for the player with the Reaper to hold his own specialized deck in order to make the most of his Reapers.

This is why I like Option 1 better.

The second option is a op, imo.  Making it immortal would help some, though.

Anyway, I'm voting for the first option.  If we have to use the second one, I just hope this doesn't fall on deaf ears.
