That would still be wierd with antimatter though. Basically I want the counters to push it's attack towards 0, as opposed to being negative specifically. I suppose I could just make it immune to stat changes as well (besides its own obviously). This is basically what the attack reset at the end of each turn would do.

Now that I think about it, I made a card awhile ago that would be extremely useful to this card. Graviton Inferno. You sacrifice creatures to increase the shield's defence. Talk about mutualism. This guy gives the shield fuel, and the shield makes sure Thanatos doesn't lose any power. (I'm not promoting my card, just stating the irony of their bond)
