NOTES:
Attack is set to the value determined by the card at end of turn. This makes it more or less immune to stats changes besides its own.

Attack can't drop below 0.
SERIES:
Creature in the theme of big but with drawbacks.
I wanted to gauge the community's feeling on the card before I went through and made the actual card images. Best cost/damage for balance is up for debate.

Couple notes on the cards functionality. Even when you have too many creatures on the field it still acts as a skeleton generator. It's also good as a drop if your opponent clears the field.

One thing I thought about to strengthen it would be to increase it's hp to something like 10 and make the backstab cause double infection. Or the infect penalty for Backstab could be removed.

Edit: changed stats and penalty from 15/4 and 20/4 with a -5 penalty.

Edit: Lowered the penalty to -2.

Right now, the card could basically go 2 directions:

1) A skeleton factory and sacrifice outlet. This is more or less what it is right now. This version could also lose the sacrifice damage. This is personally what I favor.

2) A solo bomb. Here the stats are raised to something really high, like 15/4 | 20/4, the penalty raised to -3, and the cost raised to 10. This makes it a very heavy hitter, but one that requires an empty field and has a limited lifetime.

Well, I'm going with version 1 right now.

Problem is you have to have a strategy around it to work since you'd best have no other creatures at all. It's also expensive and I fear the drawback is too big for it to be used, sure, it's a fantastic damage/quanta ratio, but I'd rather use a bunch of Bone/Ivory Dragons.

A bit uncertain how the attack would go up again, but I understand the idea (as in, does every creature killed after it reaches 0 hp up it's attack? Implying that a full field with 23 that gets decimates to just Thanatos causes a 110 attack Thanatos?).

I had thoughts about this as well, but I usually err towards UP rather than OP. Any ideas for how to balance it?

That could work too. It was mostly the idea I wanted to make into a card. I'm not really set on the specifics.

I just got to thinking, just when does the attack get adjusted? With Scarabs it's hp gets adjusted after their attack I believe, meaning this + Fractal delivers a huge blow, not to mention throwing in a Chimera before their attack even gets lowered. It's probably a slow and worthless combo, but it might be worth thinking about :P

I should really try reading the whole text next time :)) *tactical facepalm to self*
Only emphasizes my point though: it makes a good fractal creature that can even get rid of itself by Backstabbing, making room for more creatures (and thus fueling an eventual Bone Wall as well).

What deck could that be? Well I was thinking of something like 10 Bone Towers, 10 Death Pendulums, Mark of Aether, 5 Fractals, 5 Thatanos.

How would this work with antimatter? Like... having a field of skeletons, making the attack go into the wild numbers negative. And then using antimatter on it would give a gigantic attack, right?
