Right now, as far as I can tell, this is what you want from this card
1) Aether to have a way to break through shields
2) A way to buff weaker creatures (Which also hurts high attack creatures)
Right now, my best suggestions are that this card
1) Does not make the ability purely aether based (Like I said, the same element as the card's)
2) Something like 2/3rds attack rounded down (Something like a burrow time thing) (Ex. A ruby dragon would have an ability to deal 5 damage at the cost of 2 fire quanta)
3) Increase the cost relative to the attack decrease.
