I really don't understand what's being said in this thread, but how is this card not OP? Spend two life quanta every turn, and all your opponents permanents are effectively useless. Weapons, shields, SoGs, towers/pends, etc.  Until you decide to stop using this effect (unless your out of quanta why would you?) then they can't produce quanta from towers, use weapons, block damage with shields, etc.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding something?

As far as I can tell, yes this card really is that overpowered.  That's why I asked if it was just for one permanent, thinking maybe the wording was a bit off.

Comparison: Procrastination delays all creatures as soon as they attack. If you want, I can increase the drain cost a bunch. Elder members? Any ideas?

procrastination delays creatures, yes.  However, next turn all the creatures are released from the delay, so your opponent can use skills, and attack again.  This card will forever put all the opponent's permanents in delay as long as you remember to activate the effect each turn.

So if I put a reloading delay of one or two turns, would that help? It might have to not stack, though, so that with two of them out there it would be possible to eternally keep him in stasis.

Even if it drains 2 or 3 :life per turn, it's still pretty very powerful. If you can hold onto four or five  :life pillars (which you most likely will in a mono deck), you're basically putting a complete shut down on your opponent. They literally have no choice as all their quanta producing sources (besides spells) are gone, and their weapons can't attack, and their shields can't even protect them.

I suggest making snare a spell card, so it's one use, like silence.

Well, if it's a spell card, I'd want to make it a delay of two or three turns, just for the simple sake of Life PC. Does that sound good? I'll get working on it as soon as I can dig up that image file again. [Read: Tomorrow-ish. Gotta sleep sometimes.]

I think making it a spell and increasing the delay is a good idea.

If you change it to a spell, and increase the amount of turns, you'll have to give it a relatively high cost for a spell. You completely shut down a large part of the opponent's field. Comparing it to Silence isn't perfectly accurate, since that only stops things from joining the field, it doesn't affect the field itself.

I honestly don't see why you're bent on having this affect all your opponent's permanents; having it target one permanent would be way easier to balance.  Or is that idea already floating around?  If that's the case, then yeah, changing this to a spell might be better.

That idea was already floating around in a similarly named card, and I really do think that Life needs some sort of PC. So, here's my final stats for the remake.

Tangle | Snare
:life | 4  :life
Spell | Spell
Delay all of your opponents' permanents for one turn.

If there are no objections, I'll start making it now and have it posted within the hour.
