Way too complicated. It should either be a death card or have random activation cost.

A better version would be to add a random card to your hand. Lower the cost some and give it a random activation cost if it's other. I'd make it a creature though. 0/3 would probably work.

The replace with 'hope' is a really nice touch!!!

The replace with 'hope' is a really nice touch!!!
Indeed. I find this card to be hilarious, because it could potentially screw a  :death-deck over if their +50 Bonewall Shields are replaced with Hope and they don't have any creatures generating light on the field. XD

A beautiful card that makes sense both ways, not to mention it brings a super fun element/analogy to the card game. ;) Very nicely done, but you should try to fix the typos on the card first, and possibly discuss its effects in detail if you want more discussion Glaviga.

I like this idea very much.

But it needs a nerf. Upped version is very much OP.

Here's what I would build:

Mark of Death
12 x Bone Tower
6 x Pandora's box
6 x Poison
2 x Arsenic
4 x Purify

That deck produces 42 Poison plus what Arsenic does without having to play a single creature. Not only that, but it would also have very solid creature control. You could also take stalling cards like Sundial with a mark of Light.

Even if you didn't do a dedicated poison deck with this, you could easily gain control of the board by playing Luciferin + Graveyard. After your opponent is left without creatures, you have a board full of skeletons that produce :light, your opponent is poisoned for 5, and your creatures are dealing 46 damage per turn. Oh, and you have a Hope with 23 damage prevention.

I wish I could vote for suspicious box and not pandora's box.  I'm not in love with the hope addition.  If it were the same cost and three poison upped versus two unupped, I think it'd be better.  My two cents.

I have to agree that the hope shield on the upgrade is a very nice touch. Very creative.

The poison deck sounds great on paper but you need to draw 12 specific cards out of 30 ore more to get that amount of poison while you have to survive without any other sources of damage. Not too hard to do, but worst case scenario it just means more people may have to run purify.

However, I do think the card needs a bit more balance. Perhaps the opponent can also activate the card (either for free or for some card based on their mark) so that they might be able gain some advantage out of it or prevent you from setting up fully. As it is, it's very easy to sweep a field, poison the opponent, AND set up a massive shield.

As a side note, the potential to get rid of immaterial shields is a nice touch too, we need a way to deal with those imo.

No longer infects creatures, deals damage instead.
