er certain shields only let...see the developments section 'wings' is a new  :air shield that requires a creature to be 'airborne' to attack things like photon, RoL, dragons-zanz gave a list (couldnt find sorry)
And its counterpart in weapons is 'ranged' currently only owls eye

In my opinion that sounds dumb... Some types of decks will just be obliterated by this shield. (lava golem rush) Only Owl's Eye can deal damage as a weapon? Even worse...

Oops sorry SunnyGreens, I'm getting off topic.

Haha b00mc1ap you tied up both my threads with Airborne discussions (but don't worry about it), I should have put in a link explaining it. In the end, I think I'm just going to scrap this idea. Kuroaitou's reasoning is correct. Felt like I was forcing the concept from the start anyhow and I've come up with a couple new ideas instead. Thanks for the input everyone.

Yea sorry about that :P

No now that I know what it means, I like this idea. But how about making it gravity, since it kind of "pulls" the creatures toward the ground, making them lose the airborne ability.

You don't need to scrap the idea completely now. ^^;; You could probably change the element to say, :gravity, and I'm sure more people would be willing to support it, as it would also still make sense (you're forcing the creature down towards the earth by making them heavier via gravity, thus making them lose the 'airbourne' passive). The only problem with this is that the latter part becomes situational and possibly sketchy, just because there's nothing currently in game that allows you to remove the passives of a creature (except mutation into another creature).

Of course, :gravity would still be screwed if they were fighting against dragons from :time, :water, :fire, :darkness, :death, etc. while using Wings or Gravity Shield, so... ^^;;

Well, I think that we need to wait and see what 'Airborne' does exactly (besides apply to Wings). I'll wait until then before exploring this idea further.
