IDEA:
ratcharmer
NOTES:
An awakened stone guardian is a 5/10 creature that cannot be obtained any other way.
When rewind/fractal is used on the awake form of the trap, the permanent card is added to your hand, not the creature. Similar to using these cards on an animated weapon. (thanks Red Warrior0)
Since the awakened stone guardian is not a standalone card it cannot be upgraded
Although this permanent is not a shield, it is treated as one with regards to immortality, momentum etc.
SERIES:
Another trap. Here's what it looks like awake:

A very nice, cheap counter against like, fracs and other massive decks. Me like.

I like the card idea but I think the price should be increased to 2 :earth

Why not make it so that when it's awake, it's like a flying weapon (but obviously not airborne)?

@Red Warrior: Good idea, I've updated this in the notes section

@JJ 52: I'm not against the idea of raising the cost, but at least right now the poll says most people think it's balanced as-is.  I'll leave the cost alone for now but if the poll shifts or I get more people requesting that I raise the cost I'll do so.

If you do, only increase the upgraded cost. Other than that, this card is fine as it is. I wouldn't change if I were you..

Stupidly Broken with Fractal.
Would you care to elaborate on this? I think that as long as the card itself is balanced the fractal form wouldn't be unbalanced.

If you wanted to fractal this you would have to play the original card, wait for it to animate, then fractal it then wait for those to animate.

It would be a pretty slow combination all in all. It could be useful under certain circumstances, but under others it wouldn't help you at all.

If the card is unbalanced I have several ways I can adjust it, but so far the poll says most people think it's balanced.

Probably an exageration and ignorance of the null creature environment.

But if I fractal 1 animated stone guardian, I can then play 7 more guardians for 7 :earth.
Those 7 guardians will hatch rather quickly and I can draw into more fractal.
They have 5 atk so can clear most shields, unlike normal fractal targets which are either expensive or can't clear shields.
Guardians are strong against removal with 10hp.

Replace "Stupidly Broken" with "Strong Play" above.

I missed the fact that its totally useless vs a creatureless deck and weaker if you play a shield to look after yourself.

If this is broken giant frog must be unbelievable.  The real advantage of fractaling this is the sturdiness.  Most fractal creatures are vulnerable to mass CC   With the delay to enter play the attack isn't broken.

I really like this idea.
