The delay after shield bash seems unintuitive to me. Why would the flail be delayed?
Instead of that, what if it were balanced like this:
30% chance of Shield Bash|30% chance of Normal Attack|40% flail is completely blocked (no damage)

and maybe epic flail could be:
40% chance of Shield Bash|40% chance of Normal Attack|20% chance flail is completely blocked (no damage)

Is the chance flail is completely blocked only if the opponent has a shield equipped, or is it at any point it can be blocked?

I would think you would have to have a shield to get the %chance to block all damage.
In the case where the opponent does not have a shield, the flail would act as a regular weapon.

Since I am obviously still learning the ropes and the dos and donts on this forum, I have a question: the poll is still running, but there are two ideas that clearly received the most votes. Would it be imprudent to conclude the current poll, and begin a new poll with the stated winners from this poll along with two more improvement candidates? Or would this be considered an improper card development process?

The two new ideas, which haven't been discussed much would be:

1)

Idea: Flail has an x in 10 chance to destroy the enemy shield; Epic Flail has a x in 8 chance to destroy the enemy shield, where x is the number of turns in play. Note: x=0 for round in which it was played, so it would have a 0% chance of destroying the shield immediately. Does this make sense? Is this a reasonable improvement?


2)

Of course, the poll would not cover the specifics of these strats, just a generalization.

This sounds too strong for a card you can play on first turn... Like poor man's pulverizer i guess... I don't really like "random chance to kill/destroy" cards anyways, especially when it's every turn, from the very start.

Polls are a tool that the author can use to gather data. You decide how to use the tool so it functions best for you.

I this case there 3 out of 5 options that are close (75% of the highest). I personally would take those three and make a new poll. However either option is valid.

Polls are a tool that the author can use to gather data. You decide how to use the tool so it functions best for you.

Thanks for the help as always, OldTrees! I might let this poll expire to let every possible person give their input and start a new poll based on those results soon.

The poll has closed, and based on the results I decided to go with the option of reducing the shield bash chance, and I increased the cost by one. The new chance for unupped is 20% and upped 40%:

       

Any additional ideas/comments/etc are welcome and needed at this time. What else can be done to improve the card?

Much thanks to everyone who has contributed to the development of this card! I've enjoyed the process  :D
