Nice card, but I'd change the costs; the casting cost is too cheap, IMO.  The unupgraded spitfire is equal to the unupgraged horned frog, -plus- it has another ability, so I'd make the unupgraded Spitfire cost 3 :fire, leaving the adrenaline cost the same.  The Elder Spitfire costs the same as the Lava Destroyer, which is one of the most powerful creatures in the game, and the Elder Spitfire is arguably similar or even stronger; certainly stronger to begin with.  I'd increase the upped cost by 1 as well, maybe even 2.  If it were any other two elements, even that might be too cheap, but life has the most quanta efficient creatures, and fire the next most, so it is reasonable that a fire/life hybrid card is cheaper than it would be in another pairing.

Does that put adrenaline on itself? or on a target?
I assumed it meant itself, for one turn, i.e. that you would have to spend the life quanta to attack adrenalined next turn as well.

well the basic card does 12 damage per turn (assuming no shield in play) for 2 :fire 5 :life ; 12/7 damage/cost ratio
and the upped card does 15 damage per turn (again, assuming no shield) for 5 :fire 3 :life ; 15/8 damage/cost ratio

so while the upgraded costs 1 more net quanta, it does 3 more damage per turn, so the damage/cost ratio is slightly better

Cool art. DO you have to use the ability every turn for the effect or is it a one time use?

You might want to change the skill name / cost so you aren't figuratively taking the  :life nymph and repeatedly stabbing her in the throat.
This thing seemed dead inside. It seemed like an automaton, trying to act like as if it was alive. The effect was unsettling.
Orianna made a sound that supposed to a girl's squeal of glee and hugged The Ball. While it might have been touching, it was unfortunately only horrifying.

Spitfire
Unupped:
2 :fire + 5 :life +1 card = 8q+1c = 9q 12 atk (DR/Infection x4)

Horned Frog + Adrenaline
Unupped:
6 :life +2 cards = 6q+2c = 8q = 12 atk (DR/Infection x4)

Conclusion: Reduce unupped activation cost to 4 :life

Spitfire
Upped:
5 :fire + 3 :life +1card

Gargoyle + Adrenaline
Upped:
5 :darkness +3 :life +2cards

Conclusion: Increase the upped activation cost to 4 :life

Result: The upped will have a worse damage/converted cost ratio (15/11 instead of 12/8) but will deal damage faster.

Alternatively you could reverse them and rebalance like Phoenix or Abomination.
