I like the idea, but I don't think aether fits it... Uhm...Well, think of it as "possessing" the target creature to give it more strength. It could've been :light , but IMHO that was too redundant considering blessing.
Still, it's a sacrifice creature. Let's assume that Infection costs 2, due to Parasite. If that is the case, then the "Virus" card itself, due to sacrificing, gets a -1 cost....your mindgate necklace worked. :P
Now, Blessing costs 3, but I'm a little anxious to say that an extra +1|+1 warrants a whole point increase.
So far, the numbers say that this thing should cost 4 unupped, and 6 upped. IDK, but since it's practically a spell (one-time use) I think we might be able to add in a new feature to OT's formula: Spell Creatures. Creatures that have abilities that cause them to only be able to use it once.
Clearly, a Spell Creature (better name needed), like Virus, has its own agenda as to balancing.A Speature? Lol, just kidding.
New thread? Why don't you just put in the Comprehensive guide that OT made.I want to get a refined theory/formula out first similar to what happened to Wish (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,20492.0.html) and joebob's Random Chance Theory thread (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,20498.0.html). It may be unesscessary but we'll see what OT thinks.
