The damage per destruction does not stack.

If the owner destroys a collar, it only triggers the damage for destruction event (since the other damage responds ONLY when the OPPONENT casts or uses a skill)

E.g. with 5 unused in play, if the opponent casts deflagrate to destroy one, they take 5*2 + 8 = 18 damage… if the owner destroyed one themselves, the opponent only takes 8 damage.

Clarifications:
Skill, or Ability - refers to the opponent specifically activating a permanent or creature by clicking their ability (e.g. skills like vampire don't count).

Spell - refers only to spell type cards. Summoning creatures or permanents will not trigger the effect.

Interesting. Fits thematically, adds another trigger to the game and acts like soft control.

In short, a reason NOT to just go for control control control.
Always bugged me how it felt like a straight 'melee' deck, that's just good at reducing your opponent's HP to 0 was usually easy to just blast down the creatures and then kill.

Ya, I think I remember seeing that one. I was trying to go a little more indirect on the skill control. This also affects spell casting and permanent use as well, so it should be a little more broad in its use.
