This card only effects spell cards, not creature abilities.  With rain of fire, each creature has a 50% chance to avoid the damage.  With spells like siphon life or fire bolt, it will be one chance to miss, all or none.  Permanents are not protected by this card.  Your ability to cast spells on your own creatures will not be effected.

Effect does not stack.

oldtrees suggested i submit this idea to level 1, but i had never gotten any questions on it nor made any alterations, so it would be rejected if i did try to submit it, just bumping it in case anyone had anything to ask about it.

seems kinda OP, really. like a Fog Shield, but for abilities and spells.

Oops. Still, there are many decks around Spells, and still comparing to Fog Shield, this will cause players to Rage Potion themselves.

I'd think maybe 35%? Might help it, at lease in my opinion.

It doesn't reflect spells at all. Only stop them.

the term "shell" is just an established term for an anti-magic protective bubble, very prevalent in the final fantasy series, i am fairly certain i have seen it in other places as well.

as oldtrees and mav stated, it does not function against abilities/skills/effects- just spell cards, and it does not have a reflective element, that clearly distinguishes shall from reflective shields, but shell also helps protect your creatures.

my barrier card, currently in level 1 :earth, i believe, is in a sense the other half of this card's theme, which helps protect your creatures from your opponent's creatures.
