NOTES:
The underlying mechanic is that each point of poison status on a player has a small chance to force them to discard a card. So heavily poisoned players will end up discarding a lot, while players with only a few points might not discard any. I'm suggesting something like a 20% chance, but this can be adjusted for balancing purposes.
SERIES:
The theme is that many poisons and toxins will induce psychological trauma. The time activation is in deference to losing ones mind as a gradual process, while it is a darkness card as insanity and occlusion fall under the domain of darkness.
The artwork is supposed to be the eyes of someone going mad (the blur like distortion and caricatured look), and realizing they are losing their memories, as represented by the dark fog like background.
Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?

this card needs to be buffed A LOT

reasons:

1) for this card to work, you need a strategy based on poison...  :darkness on its own doesnt have that

2)you will need at least to create a :death :darkness duo to make it work...
but then you need a way to pay for its  :aether cost, so you will have to make it a  :aether :darkness :death trio

3)too expensive for what it does, considering its effect is a little random, and the number of elements you need to gather to make a working combo with this

i suggest changing its  :aether cost to  :death cost, just that will make the card much better and more flexible

it would be a rather slow combo and susceptible to CC, not mentioning the fact that you need nymphs in it to have LS on a stick...

True about the repeated LS, but you would only need a few poison counters to make the opponent discard. Given darkness has nightmare, and aether has silence, you could make a really annoying deck if it worked. Perhaps incorporate GotP and reverse times too :)

the MAXIMUM number of poison counters you would be able to put (without nymphs, 6) plus cost of dolls, LS and this card, makes the possible deck easily outrushed by anything with enough speed

adding  :time would only make it slower to deploy the combo, and have many quanta balance issues

it would still have the same issues with the current  :aether cost imo, but i can see why you dont want to change the cost to  :death quanta

the real problem is, if this card can easily enter a heavy-poison deck, mainly  :death :water, it is immensely OP
     
right now, its very difficult to make a viable poison deck with this, due to large number of different elements needed to make it work, making the card UP

it will be hard to balance this properly  :-\

How does this look?
Lower casting and activation cost, :time activation instead of :aether , damage on discard.
I think you could make this work with a :time :darkness duo. Rewind would let you force them to have cards to discard and take damage, along with nightmare. So there is definite potential. Also, if you go for a trio, using buffed dune scorps could be ugly.

its better now, but i still dont know... possible  :time :darkness duo with Mark of  :death to power poisons, could be a little OP, but cant be possibly sure about that

Updated the card with the changes.
Also note that the discard affects both players based on each ones poison status, so it can end up being a double edged sword if your opponent is packing poison themselves.
